Speaking of loose women, have you guys heard the new Carrie Underwood song? It totally cracks me up!!! :lmao:

"I didn't even know his last name..."
"I didn't even know his last name..."
(In my drunken stupor I vaguely remember a wedding chapel and now I'm wearing a ring and...)
"I don't even know my last name!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Not a lot of explanation to be found, just lots of speculation. The only thing I can find that Disney says is they want to add more dining, shops and get back to more family oriented venues.

To be honest I think they were having a lot of problems at Pleasure Island with things getting out of control. But that's pretty normal at any nightclub venue that attracts younger people. Every time I was at DTD during the evening there were always tons of Orange County Sherriff's cars and they seemed to be pretty busy hauling trouble makers out. Maybe not exactly what parents with little kids wanted to see while sitting in the parking lot waiting to catch buses back to their resort.:confused3 :confused3
Very interesting. Wasn't that part of DTD only opened to 21 and older??

Nope havent heard that song yet but it sounds funny.

In regards to your signature,

By the Way Alison, I said that quote. Just wanted to clarify that. It was at a busy party and the rum was flowing and I'm sure no one remembers it so it became an Unknown quote but it was really me. I think some latin stripper was doing a body shot off of me at the time.

Well perhaps I would have recognized you if you had been wearing your stalking sunglasses!:lmao:

And that would have done your kids alot of good wouldn't it?? Poor things.....................having to wait until they'd out grown them, to buy the movies.
What a Scrooge!!! :sad2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My poor disadvantaged children....when DH learned I was pregnant for the first time he started buying Disney movies. Every Friday he stopped after work and bought a new one. We pretty much had the entire collection before DD was born. Then as new ones came out, he always made sure to pick them up at the store on the day they were released!:lmao:

Oh no, not 15 years! I graduated in '83 and they were very much in style then!:thumbsup2 I had two of them, one pink and one burgundy. My little sister had a white one and a blue one!:thumbsup2

I was reading the other day that Pleasure Island is closing. I never did go to any of the nightclubs (kids were always with me), but that kind of sucks for everyone that did. Everytime I was there they seemed like there were a lot of people going in and out.:confused3

I just saw this post as I was reading back through. So only 10 years out of date! :lmao: :thumbsup2 cool.

And I lived at Pleasure Island during my college days. All of the College Program kids (CP's) and younger Cast members would jet over there after we got out of work at 11pm. It was SO much fun. The majority of people there were cast members (because we got in free on certain nights) or tourists that were with couples so it was fun to go and dance with girlfriends and not get hit on every 5 seconds. It wasnt a meat market at all and we had a blast. I have a cute pic of me at PI. I'll try to get it on the computer tonight

OMG, that has got to be one of the sweetest stories I have ever heard!

Your ladyship................sounds good to me!:cool1:

Actually I was trying the Lurch mode.
:thumbsup2 :lmao:

No, no, no. You need to sound creepier when you say it. Lurch had a way of drawing it out, like:

Good eeeeeeevening.

See?

You should watch the CMT video. I love the part where they are standing at the altar getting married by Elvis. The lady standing behind Elvis and the groom are eyeing each other!:lmao: What the song I think doesn't say is it shows her in Vegas winning a brand new truck on a slot machine. Think that's the reason he's marrying her!

Very interesting. Wasn't that part of DTD only opened to 21 and older??

Most of the clubs were 21 & older, but a couple were open to under 21. Plus DTD is sort of chopped in two and Pleasure Island is in between. If I remember correctly as long as you had an adult with you, then underage kids could walk thru the Pleasure Island area during the evening. During the day the clubs were closed and everyone could walk thru.

One side of DTD reminds me a lot of DL's DTD (sorta), but the other side had the movie theater, Cirque du Soleil, Disney Quest and a street of shops that sort of looks like the Hollywood street in DCA (whatever that's called).

No.....I had forgotten you had read it already!!
It's just too funny. :rotfl2:
I was dying reading it, my jaw just kept dropping lower and lower and lower!!! "Ohhhh no! This can't get any worse! OH! Goodness, I guess it can! :lmao:

OMG, that has got to be one of the sweetest stories I have ever heard!

Until you realize that I married a cartoon-a-holic! He lives for animation and I think he was just looking for an excuse to buy every Disney movie ever made.:lmao:

You're right, it doesn't mention the truck, just how his Pinto shoulda been a warning! :lmao:
