Nope. Not til the end of the summer. He is at work right now..

Mmmm... Yes. Our car. He is sleeping during the day, so he has no need for it. Why? I am feeling extra dense right now.

Did you see Lynn's (DL) thread recently? She just got back from a trip, and said the crowds weren't as big as she'd expected, and some days were downright slow! I coudln't believe it!

But I think I've figured out why. I saw one of the morning news shows today and they were talking about housing prices being the lowest they've been in like 7 years, and interest rates still being low, and how any "expendable income" right now is not being spent, so luxury items are at an all-time premium, including homes and cars.

Makes sense to me that the same would apply to vacations, especially to places like DL. So summer crowds might be light all season this year...

Yes, I did see that. I had wondered what would happen there. If the crowds would lessen or what. I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt start seeing some great disney deals here before long. With prices going up for things that people need... gas, food and what not, its hard to justify a vacation like that.

OMG!!! Hello... welcome to the world of the DUMB. I was sitting here thinking.. I think she is getting at something, but I cant figure out WHAT. YES. I have wheels. Fridays are good.. As long as I am back before 2. Specifically NEXT friday. Are you game? After that Mikalah starts her dance, gymnastics... and whatever else she has going on. Plus Alex has his stuff.. GOOD LORD. Didnt I say I wanted the kids to take it easy this summer?

I mentioned it to DH, kind of wondering out loud if we should take a trip in summer after all. He said something like, "Sure! You want to go with the boys? I'm all for it!"

He does sorta have a lot on his plate right now, with work plus his blown knee and pending surgery, plus he was having ankle problems before the knee issue. I can definitely see how a walking vacation would be very low on his list of priorities, plus assuming he'd even be able to get off work right now.

No, I know what you mean. We've got stuff on Mondays and Thursdays, but pretty open otherwise.

And it IS good to have them involved in stuff, it lessens the boredom, which lessens the squabbling, which prevents Mama from tearing hair out (ours or theirs, whatever!)

Do you mean Friday the 11th? I don't think we have anything going that day. Let me check the calendar tomorrow for sure.

Yeah... He just wants the house to himself. KIDDING!! You could do it.. It will be VERY hot though. My sister was saying that just this weekend, it was 117 at her house. Its freaking JUNE!! Over the weekend it was anyhow. I dread heading out that way in August... We arent doing DL on this trip.. I dont think my marriage would survive the heat.

Yes. If two days had worked out, I would have done it, but I had enough trouble just getting the one set of classes on Thursdays. I wasn't sure if DS7 would have trouble with it or not, since he quit over a year ago because he was bored with it. But he loves to swim.

He went for his first class last Thursday, and I asked afterward how it went, and he really enjoyed it. I was soooo relieved!

Today we're going to get our MN ID's.. both of ours expired last year-- darn because basically it was the same address, just a different apt number.


And then I must convince hubby to go to IKEA and browse for a dresser.. several dressers-- ugh!

Or maybe just hit up the junky junk store?? Hard to decide as I know they will have their 50% off sale tomorrow. Not that they had any dressers that looked okay last time we popped in for a look-see. They had a wicker monstrosity, but it needed paint and a new glass top. Thinking wicker would not be a good choice with my boys .. and the cat
