Dang! I just got this laptop fired up and logged into the DIS, while DS4 was finishing up his lunch. NOW he's done and needs to be put down for nap. BRB!

We have many windows, usually we can get the wind to breeze thru and it's comfy enough... but the wind died down.

It's one of those things.. got busy and ignore what's happening.. until suddenly I check in with myself "why am I being a B??"

ohhhhhhhhh that's why.

Now I look at the forecast and see it's 88 and 34% humidity--ohhhhhhh that explains a lot

grrrrrr, I think our new phone number is a re-issue.
We keep getting comuter generated phone calls with offers of credit cards and debt collections. Time to find the do not call list.

I do believe every phone call I got that isn't mine I would call the phone co ....they would issue me a new number

did I tell you that I am working on dates to go to mall of america....I have been trying to get out there for a few......my gf wants to go my daughter....just having date issues....if i do are you still wanting to meet up at the mall?

Hey Guys - sorry I disappeared I am so tired and have the worst headache. I am not a morning person and opening Sunday/Monday nearly did me in. Then this moring DH had to open - well he called me every 5 minutes to complain about something I just listened and dealt, but kind of went off on him a few minutes ago when he asked what was wrong

I just got off the phone with our dentist/ortho office. DS7 had an evaluation last summer, and they took molds. They advised using a palate expander, and perhaps braces later on as needed.

DS7 (who was nearly 7 at the time) was very honest and said he would not take care with the palate expander and didn't want to wear it, so we took him at his word and didn't spend the money for nothing.

Periodically this past year we talked about it, pointing out that a family friend (one of my GF's DD7) had braces, and one of his classmates had the palate expander. Finally about a month or two ago when we talked, he said he thought he would take care of it and use it properly. Also, now he's had several big teeth come in and it's obvious they're coming in crooked due to lack of space.

So YAY that we're going to embark on this journey finally! And YAY for DS for stepping up and doing what needs to be done!

OUCH on the pocketbook, of course, but hopefully doing it early will cut the cost a bit.

Awwwww. Sorry you had a bad morning, diz.
Sounds like your DH is having a bad day, too. It's not so bad when you can alternate, but having them at the same time sucks, dang it!

OMG, I love Chinese food! DH hates it, however. He used to indulge me anyway when we were newly married, taking me to a Chinese restaurant and ordering me a luscious combination meal, and a bowl of rice for himself.

I finally couldn't take it anymore and gave up eating it with him. Fortunately one of my friends at the office loved Chinese food, too, so we'd go for lunch occasionally. But I don't think I've had it since I quit work nearly 3 years ago!!!

two of mine had braces,,,,my DH has hers on now and just got done with the expender.....I would do some research on the age he is at....some are saying that if you do it at a young age you end up having to do it again....i don't know about you but between the two of them i am out 13 grand...and man I would be ticked if I was told it needed to be done again.....

To be honest, when we got the estimate for the work and a description of what would be done, we were OK with it. I was trying to find the paperwork recently (this was written up a year ago), and couldn't, so I asked if it needed to be written up again, or how do we get started. She said they'd probably need to do molds again because of all the new teeth, but not xrays, and probably the treatment plan is the same. We'll know more after this appointment.

I just had braces for the 2nd time, and while it wasn't nearly as hard as when I was a kid (no sore teeth for days, it was really very gentle), I still would rather NOT have had to have them again. Still, I had a doofus ortho back in the day (there are several things he did that I doubt anyone does today, or should have done even then), so I shouldn't have been surprised.
