Typing in the dark, guys are watching a scary nasty icky movie.. which MUST be watched in complete darkness.. type type type.. can't see the keyboard..
:headache:

Training went well, we had a different trainer nurse (shhhhh.. she's better than our regular guy) and we learned a few more things that we need to know.

Hubby did the put on and take off with some verbal coaching.. missed a few things.. but this is the first time that he did it "hands on" without help.

We get to learn how to prepare the diasylate solution on Monday with the Pureflow machine . But I'm kinda confused how that will work, it takes 8 hours to make it??

hmm, I think that means we will switch to learn how to set up and use the premade bags. The premade ones are what you use if away from home, have a water issue, etc. Think of four bags, each the size of small sack of flour, weighing 4 pounds each. Gotta spike them (like IV fluids) and hang them up high on the pole. Builds muscles

Sooooo... I had a sore throat last night.. It wasnt to bad.. Until I woke up this morning. I knew what it was.. Im not dumb. I waited a bit though. tried to tough it out, you know. So this afternoon I went to the dr. while Alex was in his clinic thing.. Sure enough! I have strep. :headache: LOVELY! So there you go... Strep.. and it hurts.

awwwww, have a virtual hug  .. no real ones, I don't want to catch strep! :scared1:

I really want to turn on a lamp, I don't like sitting in the dark.. hurts my eyes.

besides, must love the electricity, big chunk of southern MN is without power due to our fast moving storm today.. and more crops ruined :sad1:

We were out shopping, started heading home ... sky had that scary green tinge to it.. sure enough, the heavens opened and POURED. Couldn't see to drive safely, road was starting to flood as it was coming down too fast for the drains. Wind whipping around.. we scurried across the street and parked at Mall of America (parking ramp) -- safely tucked away and watched people hydroplane on the highway, and one very wet squirrel jumping around trying to find a place to hide among the cars.

The drains in the parking ramp couldn't keep up with the run off.. water wooshing UP out of drain and making a nice sized puddle.. oooooooooooooo coooooooooooooooool
:upsidedow

Few miutes later, it cleared and we drove home. Sitting at home-- muggy and wet but had stopped raining.. Suddenly we see a flash and BOOM, rain slashing again, flooding road.. and just as suddenly it stopped and the sun was out again.

gotta love Mn weather :thumbsup2

oh yes.. Hubby is doing all the work, I just hand him tape and record his vitals. But I've been threatening to give him his EPOGEN shot ;)

Today we go all set to drive off and see a movie--plenty of time.

It's a short hop on the highway -- about 10 minutes.. roll out to highway entrance, look below the ramp to the hyway.. CRAP! Not going to the movie afterall, 694 was a dead crawl. :headache:

We have forgotten how much the bridge collapse has screwed up traffic patterns. More people use the other major highways to get home , not wanting to drive surface streets to detour around the construction of the new bridge on 35W. :headache: :headache: :headache:

Hurry up and get it done already GEESH!

Hey...Bernice. I try not to ask much from you guys... But I was wondering... Could you bring me a Popsicle? Something fudgy would be great. Thanks. ;)

I wish I could see pics of how other people organize thier dialysis supplies, we walked all over IKEA ,hmmd and haahhhhhhhhd trying to figure out what would work best for us.

Ideally we need a cabinet/drawers with wheels. Enough space on top to set up . Enough storage inside to hold a week or more worth of supplies.

AND a recliner of some sort.

AND some type of shelves to store 50 some boxes of stuff.
I've heard of people getting every two week delivery-- that would be my ideal world. less stuff to deal with, anyone want some boxes?? I will have several every week , mayeb I can build ourlseves a cardbaord home out of them ? :lmao:
