Has anyone ever done this? Seems like it would be super cute, I just can't find much info about it. Supposedly it's somewhere near Monster's Inc, but where? I've heard it starts 30 mins after park opening. Is it busy, should we head there first thing?? Is it even worth it and does anyone know what characters are there??

I wanted to do this on our last trip but gave up after I couldn't find the location. Any help would be much appreciated!!!:goodvibes

We've done it lots of times. It does start 30 mins after park opening and lasts for 1 1/2 hours. The characters do 30 minute shifts. In our most recent experiences, it has usually been Pluto, followed by Chip and Dale, then followed by Pluto again or Chip & Dale then Pluto then Chip and Dale. The location is just to the right of the Monster's Inc. ride car photo opportunity, and there is usually a sign out that says Disney Visa Meet 'n Greet and a CM standing around the area. We have gone sometimes and been the only ones there, and other times have had to wait behind as many as 5 groups. I would't say to go right away though since you can usually get a few good rides in quickest right when the park opens. It is definitely worth stopping by to do though if you like meeting characters, and you get a free 5 x 7 from the experience. Really, how many free things does Disney give you after all?

Yay!:yay:

I'm super excited to find out that Pluto seems to be a recurring character there! He's my son's fav!!

Thanks for the good info, we will def plan on stopping by. I was hoping to ride Soarin and GRR before heading to meet the characters. However, I'm wondering if we should just get a FP for GRR- wouldn't want to be dripping wet when meeting them.

We really enjoy the meet and greet. When we go, there is usually no one there. I think we only had people waiting in front of us once, but we generally go in the off season too. :goodvibes

Hopping in on this...we just got the Disney Visa, so looking forward to doing this on our upcoming trip.

I read somewhere on another thread that you don't necessarily have to get that particular photo (from the meet and greet) as your free one. Is that true?

Yes, that is true. We were able to use the free 5x7 for ANY photo on our photopass card.

What kind of PhotoPass photo you get as your free one varies from CM to CM. Until my last visit, I had been allowed to use it on any PhotoPass picture. But on my last visit, the CM enforced the Meet and Greet rule and I had to choose from one of those.

The rule technically states that it must be used on the Visa meet and greet photos. Some CMs extend that to any character pics, and others have extended it to any PhotoPass pics.
