Can I tranfer an odd amount of points (1653 pts) to an award partner, or can I only tranfer in increments of 1,000 pts?

Also, is there a limited number of transactions for transferring per year to award partners or can I do it as it accrues?

It is in increments of 1,000 pts for transferring into partner programs like SWA RR or Hyatt Gold Passport. You can transfer as many times as you want within the year, unless the award program itself has set limitations on the number of points that you can transfer in.
