First time using Chase Ultimate Rewards.

I booked a Delta flight in the main cabin through Chase rewards using points and cash for two people. If I need to cancel or rebook this flight how will Chase handle it? It is in the main cabin so I understand I would get credit... but how and in what form? Or am I safer just booking through Delta in the event I need to change or cancel? I don't have any Delta points so really wanted to use Ultimate Rewards.

Thanks for any advice!

You can change the flight and just pay the difference in points. I'm not sure about fully cancelling it.

I fully canceled and I received an e-credit from Delta. I canceled directly thru Delta...

I currently have a SWRR Chase Visa credit card and want to know if they have any current offers for Zero interest balance transfers .
Appreciate if anybody has updated info to help me organize and getting out of debt faster.
Thank you

Call Chase and ask if they have such an offer for you.

Are you within the 24 hour free cancellation window? Otherwise you can't just cancel your Chase booked flight and get a refund unless you bought a specifically refundable ticket. (Next time ask these questions *prior* to booking, the no rules apply anymore covid travel policies are rapidly disappearing and the nonrefundable even if the apocalypse hits policies are popping back up.)

Your ticket is governed by Delta's rules about cancelations and changes, if you did not buy a basic economy ticket here are your policies. If you bought basic economy no changes, no cancellations. A domestic main cabin ticket can most likely be changed/cancelled for a DL voucher good for like a year from original purchase, the voucher will be for the cash value of the flight and all of it would be processed through DL.

If DL cancels your flight it's different. Then they are required to give you back your money so they would refund Chase's travel processor who then refunds you in cash/rewards points to make you whole.

I used UR points to buy an American flight a few months prior to covid, scheduled to fly home from a cruise in late March 2020. Of course we had to cancel and they were so nice about us having a credit to be used for a future flight. I am thinking it was around $180 pp.
Well, before we had any idea how long the pandemic would last, we attempted to use those credits (not UR pts) to buy a flight home for a cruise we had scheduled 13 months after the original.
This was different city pairs and the 2nd flight was perhaps $250 pp when I looked on American’s website and if I were to book through the UR website. But no, if I was using my credit, they made up some exorbitant price like $450.
They said that’s just the way it is. I didn't have enough UR points to book with points and if I booked direct with a cc, it would still cost us more. I was so aggravated, I swore I would use UR points for hotels and other perks but never for flights.
