I will be staying at Port Orleans-Riverside next week. Can I give the resort a couple of hundred dollars and charge on the room key at the parks? Is there anything I can't charge? Can I charge meals?

I know that you can leave a credit or debit card when you check in and charge to your room. I don't have first-hand experience giving them cash but I have heard that you can. You can charge anything anywhere on Disney property except some of the food carts and Swan and Dolphin. I carry about $10 cash with me every day and usually don't spend it. I use my room key to charge everything. It's very convient.

I'd recommend carrying a bit more than $10.00; we tend to buy sodas, water, snacks and stuff from the vending carts at the parks where they don't take the room charge.

They are very handy, though.
