Charged for Hoop Dee Doo 4 months in advance!??

I just made reservations for the HDD Review the other day and today I checked my credit card statement and I see I was already billed! Is this new? I have done many other reservations that need a credit card at Disney and never had it billed in advance - only the day you show up and eat!

I've never been charged either til after the show, and have changed it to cash on at least 2 occasions. I'd call.

Pre payment for this venue is nothing new -

From Deb's site:

RESERVATIONS -- Reservations may be made 180 days in advance by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE. Tables are assigned in the order in which reservations are made. Shows can sell out during busy times of the year. Payment in full will be required for the Hoop-Dee-Doo at the time of booking. As long as you cancel up to 48 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund.

We went a year ago and were charged at the time of booking (and told so), so it's not new but they should've made sure your understood it during your booking.

what if you are on the DP? Do you have to pay first then have a credit? Or do they deduct those credits up front?

When I booked they asked if I was on the DDP. They took my credit card
number but didn't charge it, and explained that if I didn't cancel as per their
policy they would charge the card. And they didn't take the DDP credits until I
used them.
