Charged for ADR in Nov 2016

So I was able to find an ADR to BOG last Saturday for Nov. 13th dinner. This is a MVMCP night. I already purchased tickets to the event. When I checked my credit card, it showed a $284 WDW charge. I know it's not the event tickets because I was charged for that back in May. The $284 charge showed up as the same night I booked BOG. Is this supposed to happen? I thought I would not be charged unless I missed the dining reservation. I also have the deluxe dining plan too. Was I charged because I have only placed a deposit for the whole trip?

Are you sure it's for BoG and not for CRT? Or, maybe you booked a dinner show that requires pre-payment?

BoG does not require any pre-payment.

That's weird I have booked BOG in the past and never paid for it. I have also booked crt and dinner shows with the DxDP and haven't been charged before...but I do agree with the pp that it does sound like either a dinner show or crt. I would give Disney a call to see exactly what it's for

Maybe it is CRT. I did book a CRT on the same day. The charged appeared seemingly after I reserved BOG. Anyway CRT charges in advance? I booked a CRT about 3 years ago. I don't think I was charged in advance.

Yep...that's it. CRT definitely charges in advance.

Yes, you're charged for CRT at time of booking.

Yep, CRT is a pre-paid, unless you on are on the DDP (which you are).

Perhaps you forgot to log in to MDE beforehand, which would've activated the ADR window...

If you already have the DDP, you might be able to call and get a refund. If you haven't paid for the DDP yet, you can tell them at the podium that you'll be paying with credits and they will refund you. We did this in May and the refund was pretty quick.

Thank you everyone! I called Disney and was refunded. Unfortunately, Disney had to cancel my CRT reservation in order to refund. The agent explained that something happened and MDE did not link my resort trip to the Dining Reservation. That is why I was charged.

@StirlingSilver83 No other CRT reservation was available. I will keep trying to find a CRT reservation. I'm hopeful that another one will show up. I still have a while until the trip.

they weren't able to immediately rebook it? I'd be kind of ticked if I lost out my reservation!
