To answer some of the other questions in this thread, the deli is in an area I only visit every couple of months and the whole reason I went there that day

Ah, thanks. It was the 'local' that confused me. The deli was local to where you were, but not actually local. Now I get it.

I work for a credit union and have worked at banks in the past...

I would just contact your bank. This happens more then you would think. In most cases, the bank will just credit you the difference without proof.
