Charge to Room Key

Hi! I am thinking of loading a gift card to my room, and then charging everything to my room key while there.

Are you able to keep charging to your room key up until check out time? When googling, I saw someone say you can't charge to room key the day before you check out, but can't find consistent info anywhere

same as WDW, the bills are tabulated and available for your inspection very early in the AM the day of check out.

My understanding is that once you officially do checkout, you may no longer charge back purchases to your room.

be advised, & this has been very sporadic…

there were a few times over the years our room charging ability didn’t work at a restaurant in the parks.

nothing to do with the card having “a problem” or being over the established credit limit we set up with the hotel for daily charging when there, etc.

Informed that the issue was with their physical CC system at the venues Just not being able to process things. they did manage to call the hotel directly for us to have the charges put through each time & all was well.

However, we always make sure to have another form of payment with us JIK. YMMV.

I’m not sure you can load a gift card to your room. I always just use my gift card to pay in the parks.

We have loaded gift card to our room there (PBH specifically).
Nothing but problems, not worth the hassle/waste of your time.
I too would suggest to just use the gift card in the parks, not the room key.

oh no! i was worried about losing the gift card, so this would be a better option. what kind of problems did you run into?

I tried to make the charge and it wouldn’t go through.
So I called the front desk and they “fixed it”.
It was fine for that charge, but when I went to charge to my room the next time it once again didn’t work.
So I just gave up and used a gift card.

I always wear a 3-prong fanny pack and put my cash/c/gc in it, so I wasn’t afraid of losing the card, I just wanted to try charging back to the room.
