haven't been to Universal/IOA in about 18 months. What characters are out and about? Last time we had to do a character lunch in IOA to see some. Has this changed and do they walk around like they do at Disney?

The character lunch is no more.

Characters usually have a meet and greet time at USF and IOA. Check your park map for locations and times. IOA has meet and greet times during the Marvel Super Hero Parade and the Toon Lagoon Beach Bash. USF has meet and greets in front of MIB and in the Kidzone.

Also, when you enter IOA and USF in the morning, characters are usually near the front entrance to greet you.

That's all I can think of for now.

We were at both parks this weekend. Yesterday was a VERY
good day for characters. At the studios we saw lots of Nickolodeon characters: Tommy, Chuckie and Angelica from
Rugrats, Spongebob Squarepants, Eliza and Donny from Wild
Thornberrys, Shrek, Scooby and Shaggy, Woody Woodpecker,
Curious George, Barney and Betty Rubble, Popeye and Olive Oyl,
Doc Brown, the Blues Brothersand Crash Bandicoot. Why, Crash Bandicoot? I don't get it, is there a Universal Connection?

At IOA, we saw only the Marvel Superheroes on their vehicles:
Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine, Rogue, Hobgoblin and
Dr. Doom. The Seuss characters may have been around but we
weren't in Seuss Landing for very long.
