My DH and DD's went on Characters in Flight and they loved it. I think it's something to try once (unless you are afraid of heights like me). We received a discount by using our CAA (Canadian version of AAA) card. DH said they could see the Disney Parks and felt safe / comfortable the whole time. Said pilot was great. I wish I had the nerve to go up as I think it would be a great experience. DH / DD's don't feel as if they need to go again but are glad that they did it once.

I'm terrified of heights, but I actually really enjoyed it. I would definitely check out the groupon since it's kind of $$$.

We didn't particularly like it. The line was quite long and when you go up, there's not really much to see. You can see EP, so if going up during Illuminations it might be fun. Other sites are non-WDW, so it kind of pulls you out of the Disney bubble IMHO. We wouldn't do it again.

We've been meaning to do a tethered balloon ride for years now (two Disney trips and one event here in Boston). Every time we've planned it, the balloon has been shut down for wind.

Oh well, someday we'll make it!!

I looked at it again. The normal price for kids is 18, adults are like 36. The link posted above worked when I clicked on it. If it doesnt come up for you, search for 'characters in fight' in Lake Buena Vista. Make sure you read the restrictions for this groupon also.
