Right now I am considering my scrap time as therapy. DD and DS are keeping me hopping, work is insane and we won't discuss mine and DH's families at the moment. Being able to completely focus my mind on something that I enjoy is a life saver!
I'm right there with you Cassey! scrap therapy is the best!!!

Erin, I'm glad you like her. She is my first paper piecing that I designed almost completely. The apples and basket are from the doodlecharms cart but the rest is made from coloring page.

same here! I also love the Marie one - gutted i'm not in that group!
I am so jealous that you can do that!!! I am scared to even try!! I really need a good tutorial that will walk me through step by step!! I'd love to be able to do it! Maybe this summer I can sit down and practice?? Did you work it up in inkscape first?
Lisa, just a quick check in/update. I am gong to pack my scrap stuff over the next few days. Since its the biggest mess you've ever seen and I will work on these after the move. Which will in turn make me actually un pack it on the other side![]()
Thanks Lisa!! I *think* i have it under control. Although I spent most of the day on the phonebut i do have 95% of the scrap stuff organized and moved into the living room well DBF just moved the big things, just have to pack up the empty albums and refills, and move on to the next few things. I think my stuff may have multiplied.
I did condense some things and clear out some junk. but whoa!!! haha. Movers are gonna earn their pay for sure.
No inkscape needed for SCAL 2. After months of trying out different files, I have found for paper piecing that I like coloring pages the best or black and white images. I leave them large and break them apart, and then group everything together and resize. I hope this makes sense. It's really basic and easy once you get the hang of it. I am playing around with a minnie mouse witch on a broom for the Halloween group, but can't cut her till after June 12. This is torture for me as I really want to see how she comes out, but I packed up all my paper and glue and stashed it away. My DS was shocked that he could actually sit down in our living room this morning. Now I need to move on to the kitchen.

Ahhh....I forgot that you don't need inkscape!! I am going to have to try it at some point! Do you scan the coloring pages or download them from a website?
I usually just save the image to my computer and then import into SCAL. I started with simple images first and slowly graduated to more complicated things. I'm still learning as I go.
