Character Meals - which don't require park entry?

This will be our first family trip. We haven't been able to get Cinderella's Table yet (though we haven't given up hope for a cancellation, lol.)

I think I'm correct that the meals like Cinderella's Table, Princess Breakfast (Epcot), etc., require you to actually enter the park - meaning you use a day of your pass, whether you want to or not. ;)

Are there other meals that don't require park entry? For example, the meals I see at the various Disney resort hotels - Contemporary, Tea Party @ GF, etc., - do they NOT require the use of your pass?

Thanks in adavance! :)

You are correct. All of the character meals (and all restaurants in a park) require admission to the park. But none of the resor character meals require admission. They include (I might be forgetting one or two):

Breakfast
Chef Mickey's - Contemporary
1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian
Ohana - Polynesian
Cape May - Beach Club

Dinner
Chef Mickey's - Contemporary
1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian

Yes, all resort restaurants can be patronized without using your passes. As far as the parks, Rainforest cafe at AK has a separate entrance so that you can eat there if you want to, without entering the park.

Thanks! I wouldn't have known that! :)
