I am wondering if I should book any character meals for me and my DH both age 26? I really want to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast one morning of our trip and don't want to feel silly because we don't have any children with us. We are a childless couple but are both kids at heart! :flower:

Can't speak for a meal, but DH and myself went to the Charcater Ice Cream Social at The Land. And we are a lot older than you,

My husband and I booked two characters meals this past October -- they were fun! We are 44 and 43 years young! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I booked Akershus Princess dinner last September for just me, a 41 year old solo traveler. Each princess was gracious and a busboy was always around to snap photos with my camera. I say to go for it.

In our fifties and love CP, also Cape May Cafe for breakfast. :wizard:

I've done them as a couple and as a single.........go for it. Chef Mickeys is alot of fun but personally I perfer the one at 1900 Park Fare (GF) it's just a little more subdued and I think the food is better but that just be me. The dinner at Park Fare is very good, the strawberry soup is to die for as is the bread pudding! CM has some parmasean potatoes at dinner that I could eat 5 lbs worth!!>.........oh heck now you got me hungry! Go for it!!

DH and I do it all the time.

We've done: CM's, LTT, CP, 'Ohana, Garden Grill, Donald's, CRT, and 1900 Park Fare over the years.

DBF and I went to four character meals and we had a great time. We also were not the only childless couples there.

We had the BEST time at Crystal Palace. It was in July and we didn't book until a month before, so we got one of the last seatings. I was a bit sad to be so late, but it was the best thing. It was very noisy and there were lots of kids when we arrived, but they soon left to watch the parade.

There was a lot of character interaction - I think the actors liked the change of pace from the kids. Once it got quiet, we got pics with several charaters together and DH had a bouncing contest with Tigger. We definately want to go again next time.

We also really liked the food there - we tend to prefer foods more "exotic" and ethnic, and we liked what we had.

DH and I always have fun at Garden Grill and the 1st time I went I was 21!!
I like it there because the food is good and the characters never seem like they are in a rush and are always playful. This may also be because we try to go outside of peak lunch times (never been there for dinner) so they don't feel like they need to rush from table to table. :)

Just do it! DH and I have done CP, 1900 Park Faire, and LTT sans kids. In addition, I finally got up the courage to do a character meal solo at Cape May last trip and loved it. I've never felt out of place.

DH and I are childless and 27 and we went to
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace(twice)
Cinderella's Castle
1900 Park Fare
Garden Grill
We loved them. And there were lots of others there without kids. Couples of all ages. So go and have fun. :goodvibes

We love character meals and I never thought about not going because we don't have children. I havent done Chef Mickeys yet but we love 1900 Park Fare and LTT. I hope you have a great trip.

Last Jan DH & I went for the first time w/o the kids and booked dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and the meal was FAV and soooo many characters and they come to your table over and over again. We loved it. I took pictures over and over again!!! :Pinkbounc

Go ahead. DW is 36 and I am 39. We went to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner our last trip and had a blast. We got pictures with Minnie, Goofy, and Chip 'n Dale. We also enjoy CP.

Whenever I travel to Disney, I always book a character meal. It doesn't matter who I am traveling with, my husband, my best friend, my Mom or my grandmother, we have enjoyed the character meals without kids. The characters will join you at your table, so make sure you have your camera ready. Crystal Palace is my favorite because I love Pooh & Piglet.
Next trip is in May, and I have booked breakfast for me & my Mom at Cinderella's Castle. And we are both adults who act like kids, even my husband who thought it would be corny, enjoyed himself. I am very excited, I have never eaten at the castle

We ate at Crystal Palace and Piglet kept hitting on my boyfriend.

Dinner at Chef Mickeys with my girlfriends was a blast! They really wern't into the characters and the characters knew it! Goofy came by and sat next to us, kept opening sugar packets and putting them into our ice tea (at least 10 packets per glass!) and when he tried getting up from his chair he fell over...this little boy at the next table literally yelled at my friend, said "You pushed Goofy!?!" and he stood up, pointed a naughty finger at her and forced her to apologize! It was awesome! (They liked the characters after that!!)

Our next trip we have Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace and (hopefully!) Hollywood and Vine booked for our character meals!
