Does anyone have a review of this character event? Any input would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

We went to the Ice Cream Social in September. We really enjoyed it. It's a cheap way to relax, cool down and meet some characters. Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. The characters were great. They all came by twice except for chip. Mickey played peek a boo with our daughter who was 22 months old at the time. The ice cream was okay. My daughter's came on a place with a cone as a hat with gummi candy and jimmies (sprinkles). It was fun and we'll probably do it again.

Hubby, DS15, DD13 and I did the Character Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grille about 2 weeks ago. We had PSs for the 2:50 seating (they only seat at 2:50, 3 and 3:10).

The sundaes were good but not spectacular. We all enjoyed them. There was vanilla ice cream, chocolate, whipped cream and sprinkles. The "dish" was a waffle cone. It was held upright on the plate by chocolate and a large chocolate chip cookie. It was filling and tasted great on a hot afternoon.

The character interaction was GREAT! Pluto grabbed my daughter's chair (with her still in it!) and started dragging her off. The hostess who seated us asked if the kids wanted to color and they said yes so they were given 2 kids' menus and crayons. Each character that came around (Chip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey) signed the paper kids' menu, drew pictures, crossed out the other characters' pictures, etc.... We laughed a LOT!

I don't think we'll do this every trip but we will probably do it again sometime in the future!

Here's a link from Deb Will's site http://wdwig.com/rev_ics.htm It gives both good and bad reviews so hopefully you can make a decision from reading it. My family and myself have done the ice cream social. The kids really did enjoy it, but I felt it was little too expensive for ice cream (even by Disney standards.), but it was nice to cool off for a little while and the ice cream was good.
