character dining using dining plan

Hi! I'm still trying to decide if we should purchase the dining plan. I know that you can substitute a character meal for one of your table service meals, but does anyone know if there is a limit to how many times you can do this? We would want to eat at several character meals, so it would certainly not be worth it if we could only exchange one.


Also, is it correct that there are various princesses at CRT breakfast? If we were lucky enough to get PS, that would eliminate the need to also do the storybook breakfast. I was thinking dd would have outgrown the princess bit for this trip, but boy did her eyes light up when she told me that she definitely had to eat with Cinderella this time

You can use all of your ts credits for character meals if you like.

Yes, we're going in January on the dining plan & we have 6 character meals booked. My DD11 is very excited!

We did three on our trip last month. No problem. Yes, various princesses are present at CRT breakfast. Set your alarm clock and get those dialin' fingers ready if you want CRT breakfast. Good luck!

We really enjoyed doing lots of character meals on the Dining Plan. We had dinner at CP, breakfast at CP, breakfast at 1900 PF, lunch at CRT, and breakfast at Donald's. We had lots of other stuff, too, but feel free to make as many ADRs for character dining as you like.

You can book your ADRs 180 days out now.

When I called a few weeks ago to book CRT for Easter breakfast, I was given 5 times to pick from.

We're using the dining plan, and I've booked about 5 character meals booked.

You can use your credits any place you like that is participating on the plan as many times as you want.

Thank you all SO much. I apologize for repeating the question...I did see it under the FAQ, after the fact.

We aren't going until October, so we have plenty of time. I am glad I came here early, though. I didn't know the PS changed from 90 to 180 days. We didn't get PS for CRT last time because it switched from 60 to 90 days, and I didn't call to verify. I sure learned my lesson.

It's good to know we'll be dining with all the characters we choose.

Oh, is it correct that Cinderella is always at the 1900 Park Fare (I probably have that name messed up)? We've obviously never eaten there.

Just to remind you, that CRT will be 2 TS credits as of Feb. 1, 2006, so you may want to keep that in mind when booking your ADR's. IF you get the dining plan, you can use your TS credits at any participating restaurant, just be sure to check how many TS credits they use.

For example, if you are going for 5 nights and there are 3 people, you get 15 TS credits, 15 CS credits and 15 snacks. If you go to CRT then you'll spend 2 TS credits each on that night, that only leaves 9. So, you'd have one night / day without any TS meals left, assuming you only do 1TS credit meals per day after that.

Just make sure you check to see how many each place takes, I may be wrong, but I think CRT "will" be the only character meal that will take 2. Again, this starts on Feb. 1, 2006. ( I tried to get it for our trip, until I found out it was going to be 2........ then we decided to not to do it.)

Unless things have changed (when I haven't read that they have) Cinderella is a 1900 Park Faire for Cinderella's Gala Feast at the dinner seating. We've had dinner there twice. The food is great. I think its the best buffet at WDW. I like it better than BOMA. The characters have always been Cindy, Prince Charming, Suzy and Perla (the mice). Most times Fairygodmother has been in the lobby, but I hear she is now prociding over the CRT dinners, so I'm not sure if she'll be there. Last time we went Fairygodmother was there when we went in, but Goofy was there when we left.
