Character dining for adults?

My DH and I love character interactions! DH practically plowed over a few toddlers to get to Mushu last trip! We travel with our teenaged kids who also still love characters. They each chose any meal for our upcoming trip and DS chose Chef Mickey's, DD chose CRT. I know that when DH and I do an adult-only trip, we will absolutely include at least one character meal, probably our first night, really gets us in the Disney spirit!

I think 1900 Park Fare is probably the most "adult oriented" of the venues, and maybe CRT, where I know many still go for a romantic dinner (or even a proposal). But of course, you should choose the one that appeals to you most, either for the food or the cast of characters.

DH & I will be traveling to Disney in Sept...no kids to bring with us yet!
He is insisting that we have no reason to go to a character dining since we dont have kids.

What is your experiences w/ character dining w/o kids? Are there any that are more adult oriented?

DH & I (no kids) have eaten at Garden Grill in Epcot twice, and we love the character interaction! It's not specifically adult-oriented, but it worked for us. I think the characters know how to judge whether you just want to eat, or if you dig them too.

The food reviews are hit-and-miss, but both times we really enjoyed our dinners without any problems. Since it is served "family style" we could get seconds of what we liked best, and didn't have to go get anything ourselves.

The last time we were there, it was priceless for my 83-y-o Dad to meet Mickey Mouse... on Mickey's birthday... and got to tell Mickey that Dad was even older than he was!! And Chip & Dale are always good for a laugh. Dad even tried to give Pluto our check

So pick one you'll like and go! Enjoy your trip!!
