Character dining for 3rd birthday

We're taking my daughter to DW for her 3rd birthday next year. She is obsessed with Mickey, so we want to do a character meal with Mickey on her birthday. I would rather do lunch or dinner, so she can have her birthday cake at that meal. Which restaurant would you guys recommend? Also is it possible to order a small cake and have Mickey bring it out to her? TIA for the help!

If you want your meal to be either lunch or dinner, then your options are limited to tusker house and chef mickeys (unless my brain is fried and im forgetting an obvious restaurant...like H&V? I dont even rmb which characters are there?). Mickey is at both tusker and chef mickeys. Tusker House in AK has way better food than at Chef Mickeys, so i'd book there. You'll also see donald, daisy, and goofy at tusker.

You can order a cake and have it brought to her, but i dont know about mickey bringing the cake, it would be impossible for mickey to hold the cake in that costume. Not sure if Mickey could accompany the cake to the table though (while the server brings it).
...Perhaps someone else has experienced this and can chime in.

There is a sticky thread above on custom cakes. Mickey will never bring out the cake. Your server would.

I really enjoy the character interaction at garden grill. I love the restaurant and seeing the different parts of the land. I like that the food is family style instead of buffet. I really prefer breakfast here, ppo is a bonus

If you have a custom cake, and there are restrictions to what you can get and where, what will you do w it the rest of the day? Personally a great cupcake is cheaper and does the job just fine. And can always bring back to your resort.
