Character Breakfast Transportation Information

Just wanted to say thanks again to Tyler for this info! I just did a search for "early bus" and found this thread -- exactly the info I was looking for :)

Since early EMH for MK is 7:00 am next week how early will the buses run from POP? Thanks!

Thanks for the info!

My hubby and I made PS for CP early breakfast before the park opens. He asked a CM at our resort to confirm the buses ran that early. She told him no. He said we flew and didn't have a car. Any suggestions on how to get there? She said to call a cab. We knew that wasn't right. We got back to our room and called the number for Disney reservations (or something like that- hubby called), and they reassured us the buses did run to the early breakfasts.

It frustrated me that a CM would give info so way off base. Oh well. It didn't ruin our day :)

Buses will run one hour prior to park opening, or 45 minutes prior to the earliest seating time in that area.

It is frustrating. Usually it's the other way around, the call center will say no bus exists, and the front desk would say it does.... *sigh*

But at any rate, the buses DO exist. Just make sure to get out to the stop 45 minutes beforehand, and let the driver know where you are going.

Thanks so much for the info. I was scard to book a character breakfast b/c I wasn't sure how we would get anywhere. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for the info - we have 2 early PS's during our trip in May - One at MK and one at AK - now I will not stress about how we will get there! We will definately catch the early Bfast buses for both of these :flower:

This is great info, it helped us on our last trip when we made an early PS for Donalds breakfast and we are going to do the same next trip (Sept)

This thread should be made as a sticky on the top of the restaurant thread, I know it would be able to help alot more people!

I thought I read before that a boat goes form WL to CR and MK early enough for a PS for breakfest. Is this correct? If I missed this info in this thread I am very sorry.

For the Polynesian, the monorail will start running at 7:00am, daily. (Unless the MK is opening at 7, then it would be 6am)

We are staying at CSR and are doing Chef Mickey's at 8:10. Is there a bus that can take us to chef mickey's from CSR? And, after breakfast, what is the best way to get to the theme park? monorail???? :confused3

Thank you,
Kim

Be out at the bus stop around 7:25am. Board the Magic Kingdom bus. Let the driver know that you need to go to the Contemporary. After breakfast, for MK or Epcot, take the monorail. For Studios or DAK, take the bus.

Thank you! :) Now here is a straange question for ya. We will have a dog staying at the MK kennel. Do buses run there as well?

Thanks a BUNCH!

I think we should nominate Tyler for Sainthood. He can be the patron saint of Disney Transportation users. :goodvibes

No, they don't run to the TTC from any resort. But you can go to the MK or Epcot and catch the Monorail to the TTC.

I'm staying at the beach club and have a PS at the grand floridian for 9:15 a.m. Would it be faster to take the bus (i heard sometimes the bus service there isn't so good : /) or would it be easier to go to EPCOT and take the monorail over? Also, do CMs let you in EPCOT if you have a PS at a MK resort, just to use the transportation, before the park actually opens?

Thanks so much for this thread, Tyler! Did you ever have your meeting with your manager about getting CMs from other departments in the loop about this? It sounds like there's still a lot of work to do in that area. (Maybe the DIS Boards should be required reading for front desk and CRO CMs???)

I was lucky in that when I made my PSs, it was under the assumption that I would have a car. No one tried to talk me out of any of my early PS times. Now, thanks to Southwest's $39-each-way special, DD and I are flying. I'm so grateful for this thread, because as soon as I booked my airfare yesterday, a million questions about resort transportation reared their ugly heads. I'm so relieved that the only thing I need to worry about is waking DD up in time to catch the bus -- and that I can rest assured that there will actually BE a bus (despite what other CMs may tell me)!

Tyler, when we return from our trip, I promise to write a letter to WDW Guest Services about how helpful you were. I know WDW frowns on CMs posting on this board, so I won't tell them "where" I "met" you, only that you really helped alleviate all of my transportation worries, not to mention giving me wonderful, accurate information regarding Pop Century (in your Resorts Board FAQ). You really are a wonderful ambassador and a credit to whatever department you happen to be working in at any given moment.
