Character Breakfast and Pictures

Do the shutters photographers come to the character breakfasts or are pictures something you have to take yourself? It will be good wither way. I just want to make sure I know for planning sake.

Shutters will be there. They will have a person from shutters with every charActer. There will also be a handler with every character. Handlers are allowed to take a picture with your personal camera. Shutters are not allowed to take a photo with your camera.

Yeah i knew about shutters only using their cameras. And YAY to them being there! We are doing the CD and prints next trip and I want my money's worth! Thank you!!!

What cruise have you had Shutters photog at a character breakfast? We have never had Shutters at any of our character breakfasts. They do have a handler with the characters who will take pics with your camera. We always prebuy the CD to get all our photos.

There were no shutters photographers at the wonder's character breakfast in July. This was one of the early ones were we reserved our tickets online pre cruise, so I don't think that's making a difference. We still had plently of pictures on our cd.

We just had the Disney jr. breakfast last week on the fantasy and there were no DCL photographers.
We took our own photos.

Just got off the Magic last week and although I didn't do the characters breakfast the members of our FB were mentioning /complaining that there was no Shutter photographer. Most were frustrated that they weren't given a heads up and needed to go back to cabins for phones/cameras

Ok, I get that the no photographers thing is annoying, but I do think we need to take some responsibility for ourselves and stop having to have our hands held. If you know you want pictures from something, take your camera and don't count on anyone else to have one! ESPECIALLY if there is nothing directly stating there will be photographers! (It's been a while since I was in the parks, but I don't recall photographers being with the characters at character meals in the parks/resorts. Has that changed?)

(I know that you @moosecrouse are not the one who didn't have a camera. I'm just quoting because of the people who complained that they weren't told they would need a camera.)

If people are new to DCL and maybe have never been able to afford a character breakfast in the parks, they really would not know what to expect as far as photography. Most info about time with characters refers to meet and greets where there are photographers and you can have them use your camera. Can see why some may be confused, but I agree - always have your camera with you, you never know when you might want it.
