I was wondering if anyone has stayed in a studio, then moved to a 1 BR? We'll be at the CBR for 4 nights (conference for work) them moving to the BWV. We have a studio for 1 night, then a 1BR for the next 3. How does that work? I was told we have to check out and then check back in. We're not owners, renting points from a kind DVC owner (thank you Annette)
Should we mention this at check-in?
Has anyone ever changed rooms mid stay? Will they hold our luggage somewhere?
Thanks for any input!

Diane

Yes, bell services will hold your luggage and take it to the new room when it is available.

We'll be doing the same thing next month. We always come in on a Saturday, but usually stay that night at the Dolphin or Swan with the teacher's rate. This time we are going to stay in a studio the first night. I hope that the couch is doable because poor DH will be sleeping there and I haven't read too many good things about it.

I understand that we do have to check-in Saturday, and then recheck-in to our 1BR on Sunday. I'm hoping it will be stress-free.

We moved twice in Dec with no problems.

We always go in Oct and stay one week in a standard studio and then move to a one bedroom. Sometimes, a room is ready (great!) but other times it isn't and we bring our luggage to bell services and go off to the parks. It is never a problem.

We stayed in a standard studio 1/7, then switched to a 1 bedroom for 1/8-1/11. We never realy upacked for our studio night. In the morning we just threw our things in the suitcases and brought them to the lobby. I checked out/in while DH borught our luggage to bell services. The front desk gave me a card with a number to call while we were out at the parks (MK :sunny: ) to get our new room number as the room wasn't ready so early in the morning. Later that day (and I mean "later" :earboy2: )after calling in for our room number we passed through the lobby, left word with bell services to bring our luggage up and headed to our room. The bellman was waiting at the door for us! :woohoo: The whole process is smooth and easy. Enjoy your trip!!

Maybe I was just lucky, but when I moved from a preferred studio to a Boardwalk View studio, my new room was ready at 9:45 am (yet, it hadn't been available the day before, that's why I had to spend one night in preferred view). So I could have saved myself lugging my luggage downstairs only to bring it right back up again. My new room was about 3-4 doors from my previous studio, just around the corner. So convenient!
