We have a cruised much later this year that we booked on opening day. This will be our first cruise with a child, taking our will-be 3 year old. We booked an Oceanview room because that's just what we typically do. After taking the last few days we thought it might be really nice to have a verandah so that during nap time we could both sit outside (with a baby monitor or something) and read/relax rather than 1 person (or both) being stuck in the oceanview room, with the blinds closed, while the other wanders the ship.
I read somewhere, that you are locked into all prices when you book your cruise, so if we change to a Verandah category keeping the same cruise, will we get the opening day price for that category? It was "only" a $400 or so difference on opening day versus the $700+ difference on current rates we just looked at on the website.
Our travel agent is on maternity leave, and I know someone else at the company would be willing to help us, I just wanted to make sure I had my facts straight before I called.
Thanks in advance.
