Changing Reservations from POR to WL?

We have ressies for POR 9/27-10/4. DH just got a big bonus, and we're thinking of upgrading to WL. Can this be done? Can we do it up until the day we arrive (assuming there are availabilities, of course)?

It can be done, just do it as early as possible to avoid problems. But if I were you I wouldn't. We had originally booked POFQ for our most recent trip and uprgraded to WL and were greatly disappointed. Yes, the lobby is cool but the rooms are pretty much the same size as the moderates. If you still want to upgrade it's woth it to splurge for a REAL deluxe, not WL or AKL. For a little bit more moolah you get a much bigger room, and more amenities. I recommend one of the monorail hotels. If you don't want to spend that much, you're better off just staying at POR. Hope that helps!

Having stayed at both...I say upgrade to WL! The rooms are larger as well as the beds! POR has full size beds...while WL has queen size beds. I also love the atmosphere of WL, the food choices are better, and you are just a boat ride away from MK!

Wilderness Lodge all the way

Hubby and I stayed at the PO in 9/2000 - Thought this is what disney is all about

Planned a trip 9/2003 and at that time PO was closed due to low crowds cause of 9/11. We were so upset we were going to cancel our trip but our TA talked us into WL. We couldn't have been hapier.

Were going back 9/2005 and my hubby will only stay at the WL.

We just changed our ressie for January a few weeks ago from POFQ to WL. I think I would have really liked POFQ but we liked the idea of being closer to MK and also having queen size beds and a balcony to go out on when the baby is sleeping.

If you can afford it splurge for the WL! I guarantee you will NOT be dissapointed. I love the Lodge!
