What is the number of days before your reservation that you can change your days without penalty like loss of points or can you change up until your day of arrival.

Reservations cancelled 31 or more days ahead will return the points to your contract to be used or banked per usual restrictions.

Reservations cancelled 30 days or less before will place the points into a "Holding Account". These points may only be used to make a new reservation within 60 days of arrival. They cannot be banked and will expire at the end of the current Use Year.

The reservation is considered complete on the day of arrival and all points for that stay will be deducted at that time.

You must change your ressie 31 days prior to your arrival date. Your points will be returned to normal status in your current use year.

Changes 31 to 1 day prior to arrival result in your points being in a "holding account"...you still have use of them, but you can only book trips 60 days prior to arrival based on availability. They can not be banked.

All points are considered "spent" on the day of arrival.

These rules apply to ressies at DVC resorts, I'm not sure what the rules are for points used at other venues.
