Changing package to RO w/ AAA

Hi all,
Question for all of you- I have booked a package with AAA. If (really hoping) a room only discount comes out for my dates and resort, do I need to contact my AAA agent to change my reservation, or can I do it by calling Disney directly.
I don't think I can trust my TA to call immediatly after they come out- she messed up a payment- actually had my credit card number and didn't make a payment when I wanted her to. She's a nice person-and I will never use her again-but I don't think I can trust her to do this in a timely fashion.

I may be completely wrong, but I believe since your TA "owns" the reservation, she has to do it.

That has been my experience in the past (last trip in January of '10). They can apply a code for you, but they might have to be quick on the draw.

I simply won't book through AAA because of this. Last time, I was able to score a great rate on WL club level, but I called AAA right as they opened the morning the codes came out and urged her to call right away. She was kind of taken aback because she hadn't even heard of the code yet.
