Changing names on a ticket/magic band

Last minute conflict means our son can't go so our granddaughter is going in his place. Problem is we already have the magic band assigned to his name and we have Fastpasses assigned to it. Telephone CM says it can be reassigned to her name but can't guarantee the Fastpasses will be retained. My husband is thinking he may be able to change the name on our son's MDE account to our granddaughter's name and preserve the Fastpasses that way. I guess we could just leave it alone but some CMs might notice the little 10 year old girl with the name "Matthew" on her magic band! Anybody else have this issue? How do you change the name on an unused magic band without losing the Fastpasses already reserved on it?

A MB can't be reassigned once it's linked to an individual. Your best bet is to take your son's along for your granddaughter to use.
