Changing DVC Deed Name to a Trust

I think you want to talk to member administration. It's one of the options on the 800 number.

I wonder, though, if you change the title to a trust, would you still be a member for perks like the annual pass discount? I hope there's a way they can accommodate that.

Good question. In addition to getting the forms, I also need to find out how it will affect perks. As administrators of the trust and beneficiaries we should be able to continue making ressies, transferring pts. Etc as usual. Again, I need to find out how all this will work.

I am interested in doing this as well, if you find any information out, please let update this!

We transferred our DVC interest to our trust in 2007. No new member cards were issued and we have been able to purchase APs with the DVC discount since that time.-- Suzanne

If title insurance is important to you, you will want to check with the title company, too. They may give you an endorsement for no charge if the transfer is to a living trust. On our new title policy for VGC they had us as insureds and transfer to living trust as well.

I transferred my titles into a trust and retained the same membership number. Since it's my trust (I'm also the trustee), there's no problem with membership perks.

I still have the forms so PM if you would like a copy.
