hi all. we are planning a spur of the moment trip to wdw this feb. we would like to stay at akl w/ a savannah view. they have those rooms available the first 2 nights and the last 3 nights, but not the middle 3 nights. so..... my question......is it strange/a hassle to have a guest change accomodations 3 times during a visit? for instance, if we were to stay at akl the 1st 2 nights then stay somewhere else (still a wdw resort) and then come back to akl for the last 3 nights. just wondering if anyone has done something like this or has an opinion on how it would work. this site is awesome! so glad i found it. thanks- martha.

I have switched resorts and have enjoyed the change. However, I only switch once and do so if on a long vacation. It is a hastle to switch and re check in, pack and unpack. It's too much for a vacation to do it 3x! Whew!

I would suggest staying somewhere else for the first part and stay at AKL for the last leg. It's tough to move from a deluxe to a moderate unless you are staying at another deluxe. Nevertheless, I would recommend only doing it 1x for sanity sake! hehe

Enjoy!

I agree! I know people do it but we did the 3 room thing one time and never again :confused3

We did 1 night at HRH, 4 nights at CR and 3 nights at BC...Loved all 3 resorts and all 3 locales but it was way too much packing & unpacking (and we had our own car).

Disney hotels take a LONG time to check in to...even with great service, they tend to take 20 - 30 minutes minimum. I agree with the poster above and would suggest one hotel for the beginning of your trip and finish with AKL.

Have fun!

I would do 2 resorts but never 3 it's too much work. Have you thought about SSR then AKL 2 very different resorts, might be fun. Made SSR ressie for 3 days then BWV for the remaining 10 days because I had the same problem as you just made the ressies on 1-4-08

GOOD LUCK:yay:

We've done 3 changes the last two years; 2 at WDW and 1 at Universal.

This year, it'll be 4 hotels. We get in late, so I don't want to waste a Disney day, so we'll stay the first night offsite, then 2 nights at CSR, 2 night at HardRock, and 4 at WL.

No kids, so way less hassle.

We did 4 resorts back in 1995 with a lot of friends and family
We started at the POP and visted AK and MGM.
After 2 nights we went to the contemporary for a week and enjoyed the MK
Next we went to the beach Club for 4 nights (great for Epcot and MGM) but on the last night my wife and I went to the GF alone for a honeymoon night while grandma stayed with our kids at the BeachClub.

I like changing resorts. I like the different feelings you get with each one. That said, you should have some idea if you are the type that doesn't mind packing and unpacking. Doesn't make a difference to me but many people don't like to do it.
If i could always go for at least 10 days I would at least stay at 2 resorts.
