Changes to MK Wishes dessert party-Same Day Reservations

So exactly how are the "segregating" the late folks from the early planning folks.....Wristbands? Make the procrastinators shuffle up to the terrace after the eat? Big Scarlet "A" on their forehead?


Cause you know us planners DO NOT want to sit with "THOSE PEOPLE"!

Since I'm one of THOSE PEOPLE in my real (i.e. not Disney) life this made me snort. But just FYI, it would be a scarlet P (procrastinator, Meyers Briggs P, it totally works).

I don't know from personal experience, but I've read wristband.

When you check in, they check your reservations. ADRs go to the lower area and same-days went to the upper. Buffets at both areas.

OK - so BOTH sides of the old FP area are being used? Not just the side closest to the Tomorrowland Terrace Party?

I'm trying to picture the seating area for same day reservations. I see that it is on an upper tier but does that make it harder to see out if people stay put? I suppose that there is no reason to stay put if the area at the hub is better anyway.

Also, do the same day people and advance people have their own dessert buffets or do they share?

You definitely can't see from up there. Earlier in the thread someone who went said that the same day people got their own buffet of pastries, and shared the drinks and ice cream with the advanced reservations people.

Both sides are in use, but only the side closest to TTR is being used for the party. The Casey's side is open to everyone.

You can also pre-book and have the option to move to the old FP area if there's availability.

Will same day reservations continue through July? I am having trouble book TT for 5 in the middle of the month and I'm hoping this option is still around.

Seriously think 2016 is going to go down in history as the most indecisive, random, non-functioning, don't blink or you missed something year! So much disorganization.

They seriously need to sit, talk and THINK BEFORE THEY DO, cause this fly by your pants thing just isn't working.

I will add a few more laughing heads if this turns out to be true.

For less money, we do the 'Ohana/Kona Poly Fireworks Party.

We order room service and I get the 'Ohana Feast while DW gets Kona sushi, and we watch Wishes from our Poly Lakeview Balcony.

We liked the $29 dessert party. At $59, the 'Ohana/Kona Poly Fireworks Party is a much better deal. More secluded, too.

We attended the dessert party tonight. We had someone escort us to a section, but we chose our own table. There were no assigned tables. As far as I could tell, there were no same day reservations tonight. Everyone was seated all on the main level of the terrace. One of my daughters friends is a cast member there and she told us that the plan was to eventually use ALL of Tommorowland Terrace for the dessert party. I didn't notice anyone leaving to go to the hub grass to watch Wishes. It's been several years since we had gone to the dessert party. The desserts are kind of disappointing. And of course the view is so much better on the hub grass. I think next time I will just stake out a spot on the hub grass in front of Casey's. The cast members were all really great though.

So I have this in 2 weeks but I'm thinking about canceling....is same day still available? If not is there assigned seating? How long do I have to cancel in order to get a full refund?? Please help....
