Changes at the Top!

Wishing you every success and good thing as you take on this new challenge. May walking in Walt's footsteps inspire you to dream great dreams and achieve greater results. I look forward to seeing your handiwork on my May trip. If your work at DCL is anything to go by, you should do fine.

Welcome Karl. I hope you find this board a good place to get the pluse of DCL from the true believers. Let us know if you need anything (like a ship's nurse perhaps;) )

There's not much more to say than others have already said, so I'll just add my congratulations and wishes for all the best. Matt has done an awesome job in his time at the helm of the cruise line, and I'm sure he'll do the same at DL. He is personally just as nice as everyone here has said, as well as an excellent executive. We have had the pleasure of meeting him and have also spoken to numerous cast members who have had nothing but praise for him. He is well respected by everyone at DCL, and that has really shown through in the quality and the way things are run. Excellence starts at the top. He will be missed, but this sounds like a great move for him.

I was just lamenting last week. All this huge publicity for WDW, so many new attractions announced. Huge fancy parties. So much that was cancelled and denied for California. We found DCA and Disneyland to be in pitiful condition, things closed, and what was not was cut back, broken, peeling..... I hope the wonderful running of DCL becomes a Renaissance for Disneyland and DCA (Oh! EXCUSE me, The Disneyland Resort) and that DCA finally becomes,....well...something more than Soarin' and a quiet place to have a glass of wine. First Pressler, now Harriss! Some of the opinion mongers:

I wish Mr. Ouimet the best of luck, he will need it to turn the place around. And if he was DAID, then Disneyland has really gained a champion.

Mr Holz, welcome to DCL. Now, we probably all have a few suggestions...... :p .

(edit done, the THREE DCA, although it really should be Disney's California Adventure, not even DCA according to dogma)

abitjaded - please edit your prior post to change the last two "DCL's" to "DCA". Then your post becomes clearer. I know it's hard to change gears (when I did my post earlier I kept typing DCL too).

Yahoo........Harriss is gone.
First she ruined the Disney Stores, then headed for Disneyland and did a "horrible" job there. I don't know of one as far as customers or castmembers that will miss that witch.
Bring on the "Magic" Matt, we westcoaster have been waiting awhile for it to shine again.
