Changed vacation plans-not going to Disney

So DH and I have changed our minds about this years vacation. We were planning on going to Disney the first week of October. We've now decided to go on a 7-day Eastern Carribbean cruise. The ports will be Half Moon Cay-Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan-Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk. Has anyone been to these ports, or gone on a cruise like this? I'd really like to hear about anyone's experiences. Just want to make sure we made the right decision in switching destinations.

Nooooooooooooooo change it back!!!!!!!!! We had planned to go to Disney this past October, but changed it to Mexico. Well, we got stuck in the middle of Hurricane Wilma!

In all seriousness, that cruise sounds great. And cruise ships can navigate around hurricanes. Is Grand Turk in Turks & Caicos? What cruise line is that? I would love to see T&C.

Your not the only one doing this. I was suppose to go to Cancun next weekend, but decided a couple weeks ago not to go and instead go on a cruise. I'm still working on the actual dates, but I'm looking at doing a back to back cruise 12/31-1/7 (Western Caribbean) and then 1/7-1/14 (Eastern Caribbean).

It's a Carnival cruise. No, we've never taken a cruise before. This will be our first. I've never really gone anywhere on vacation besides Florida and Canada. This is going to be a great experience!
