Changed Room To A Concierge Room. Some Questions. First Time.

Hi, I am sailing on The Wonder on March 4th 2023 out of San Diego. I changed my room the other day to a concierge room, I am just wondering if I need to send an email or if concierge will reach out to me. I have read on the forums that they usually send an email out before booking opens but since it is already way past that time ( Only about about 40 days until the cruise) I'm just curious if they will still contact me or if that is for me to do? I already pretty much have everything booked that we want to do except the Princess Gathering which doesn't open until the 30 day mark and maybe changing the appointment time for the BBB for my daughter.

Also is there anything else I should do/be aware of/recommendations before sailing with concierge? We are surprising my daughter with this cruise, she just finished 2.5 years of cancer treatment for her Leukemia so I just want to make sure I do whatever I can to make it the best experience for her, she has no clue we are surprising her with this. She is 6 years old so I feel like this is a perfect time for her to experience this. She won't know until the actual day of the cruise, she thinks we are just going to California to visit her Aunt for vacation. We booked the Wyndham Bayside hotel to stay at the night before.

If you email shoreside concierge (dcl.concierge.services@disneycruise.com), they should be able to book the Princess Gathering for you now. They contacted us about 45 days out to schedule the Princess Gathering and the Marvel character meets (we are on Marvel Day at Sea sailings).

You can also request amenities for your room (like drinks you'd like stocked in the refridgerator, types of pillows, etc.) and a specific dining rotation if there is one you'd like.
 
We booked later and emailed shoreside at the address the previous poster provided above. They will take your requests and do what they can. What a wonderful surprise and treat! Have a wonderful cruise!
 
Congratulations to your daughter on finishing her cancer treatment - definitely sounds like you all deserve a wonderful vacation! +1 I wouldn't wait for concierge to reach out, just email them directly. Note that it's been taking a week+ to hear back so be patient.

We always ask about the dining rotation options and put in a request for the one that suits us best. This really only matters if you have a certain environment you like best or you have a Palo night booked and want that to coincide with a particular night (*cough*pirate night*cough). Concierge should be able to tell you which nights have which theme (Pirate, dress-up, etc) as well.

I don't know if you were desiring a private dining table but that's also something you could request with concierge.

I would suggest calling as well. Sometimes there is a delay in getting a response to your e-mails. I booked a last minute concierge room last fall and found calling and actually speaking with someone was the fastest way to get my requests in when the booking window has been open for so long.
 
Awesome. Thank you everyone. I emailed them last night and I will give them a call today just to touch base and get everything confirmed incase emails are busy.

If you have any other suggestions or recommendations for the cruise please share them with me. Would like to make sure we have the best experience.
