Changed Reservation from OKW to BWV

OKW and SSR are my home resorts. Made a June 8-13 reservation for a 2 bedroom at OKW at the 11-month window. Yesterday, I changed the reservation from OKW to BWV at the 7-month mark.

Today, I called about one of the busiest weeks -- week after Easter 2008 (March 23-29th). I booked 3 nights in a one-bedroom at SSR (looking forward to trying this resort for the first time) and then booked 3 nights in a Savannah room studio. Its a split stay but still very happy to be a DW.

Just wanted to report some good news on the boards since I have been reading a lot of unsuccessful attempts at the 7-month window.

DVC is still working for us!!!!!

Congratulations on getting your reservations at the 7 month mark!
Is the BWV reservation a Preferred View - Water & Garden? Or were you able to snag an elusive Boardwalk View or Standard View?

He might have gotten lucky and got the 2bdrm BW View we had booked for June 8-13. I called tuesday at the 7 month mark and changed our reservations from BWV to AKV. We booked a 2 bdrm SV for our family and a 1 bdrm SV for my SIL and her family.

Congrats!!! It's a good feeling. We did this October of 2006, we booked SSR at the 11 month, and then called at the 7 month and got BWV's. We had wanted to try a different resort.

We actually booked OKW for the last week in Feb only a few weeks ago. I know it is not a big time of year, but nice to know that if you can travel during non-school break times, a lot is open.

I think the biggest problems with DVC is that most people have to travel during school breaks, and obviously those times fill up extemely fast. DVC continues to work for us as well!

We got a Preferred View at BWV. We will be taking my DMIL and my DD (12) will be bringing a friend
