If anyone could give me suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

We booked our flights through Delta. Non-stop from Bradley to MCO and non-stop from MCO to Bradley. While my Dad was trying to organize all our travel stuff he found that our flight from MCO had been changed to have a layover and we will be getting in 3 hours later than scheduled. Luckily he was checking everything since Delta hasn't sent us any emails letting us know the flight was changed.

According to the Delta website we can reschedule for free as long as we travel on the same day to and from the same airports. The only other direct flight leaves at noon, so basically we lose our last day at Disney. I checked Jet Blue and now their rates are the same as Delta's, but with no luggage fee. What I would like to do is cancel Delta all together and rebook on JB. Will Delta let me cancel both flights even though only one has changed?

I knew I made a mistake booking with Delta, but at the time even with the luggage fees they were cheaper than Jet Blue. :headache:

If both directions were booked on one ticket, they should allow you to cancel completely.

First, don't panic. This happened to us out of BDL last year when Delta was changing/merging with Northwest. Go on the Delta site and find the flight that you want to be on and then call Delta. Calmly explain that you purchased non-stop tickets and you have now been changed to a layover. Tell them what flight you want and asked to be put on that. We had absolutely no problem being changed to the non-stop that we wanted and had originally booked - no change fees either. The biggest thing is not to call and start yelling - just calmly explain everything and they should be able to help you.

What are your travel dates. We are traveling in Aug. and both of our flights are still there and at the times we originally had. Just tried some June dates and the same flights we have are there. Just curious what time frame they changed.

Our return flight is for Sept. 3. We are arriving on Aug. 22.

The problem is there is now only one direct flight that day and it is at noon. We don't want to leave at noon. If there was a direct flight with a better time I would just switch to that, but we will lose our last day if we go with the 12pm flight.

Both flights were booked at the same time so I'll see if they will cancel them.

Delta just recently changed my September flight also without notifying me. The Delta agent said since it was May that I wouldn't be notified until probably July. Delta changed my non-stop 7:30 PM flight to a 3:35 PM non stop. So of course we are losing park time. Delta totally got rid of the 7:30 PM non stop flight. So right now I have rebooked on a 7:30 PM flight with an layover in Atlanta. So, instead of getting in at 9 something, I will be getting in after midnight.

The Delta agent I talked to said to keep checking back and if I saw something better to call and they would switch me again.

What about the 3:30 p.m. flight with the 50 min. layover in Atlanta. Looks like they updated their schedule for the fall. Hopefully they will be able to work something out for your. Maybe they would be willing to book you on another airline for the return flight. This happened to our daughter when she was traveling once on Delta and they put them on another airline for their return flight without any question. Hope it all works out.

Delta is a pain. I just had a recent trip where they canceled my saturday flight home and i had to switch to a Friday red eye to make my saturday commitments.

What was worse was that they did not bother to load my bags on the plane. When I landed they already knew they did not do it and I had to wait a day for my bags.

Of course my bag arrived damaged (They said they will pay) and they still charged me the baggage fee

They typically do not put you on another airline in advance unless it is a partner. The only domestic partner Delta has currently is Alaska Airlines. They used to partner with Northwest, before buying them.
