This morning I did not see a 7am or 1 pm time to enter the virtual cue. I just saw how many minutes I would likely wait if I joined the cue. When did this change take place? Do I still have to be in Epcot to join? We leave for WDW Friday. I have a reservation for Epcot the 4th day of our trip. I would love a chance at GotG sooner.

If you have park hopper on your ticket you can purchase an ILL$ any day with a return time of 2pm or later. Otherwise, you have to wait until your EPCOT reservation day to try for the VQ.

We're going to Epcot tonight and slept in. At 745am et it showed 660 minute wait and we joined. Definitely a different process than last Sunday when we went.

You can't do the VQ on a day you don't have EPCOT reserved. At least for the normal queues (Idk how it works with the 6pm deluxe guest queue).

You don't have to be in EPCOT to try for the VQ at 7am, but you do have to have EPCOT reserved. You have to have tapped into EPCOT at some point that day to try for the 1pm VQ (which means you have to have had EPCOT reserved since park hopping doesn't start until 2pm).

That being said, if the VQ happens to last until at least 2pm, you could theoretically join as a park hopper (at least, I believe this is the case) but most likely, the VQ will be full before 2pm.

Looking at thrill-data the 7am virtual queue was available to join until 8:45am both yesterday and today?! I've been seeing that Disney World is slow this week but that it's very surprising to me!

This is our 6th trip since March 2021 and at least 30th since joining DVC in 2008. Crowds this week are the lowest we've ever experienced....and it's been awesome.

We arrive in 3 days and it's making planning challenging! Normally I use the previous weeks thrill-data to estimate LL stacking the morning of but this week is certainly an outlier and I expect it to be very different next week!

We normally go next week...usually arriving the Friday of Labor day weekend. That is still a great time to go...if past experiences are any indication. I bet you have similar crowd levels. Have fun!

Did you have an Epcot reservation, or did you Park Hop to Epcot after another reserved park day? If park hopped, how successful was your ability to join the que at 7:45 with the 660 minute wait? Did it work, did you have a valid "entry" and were able to ride?

We had an Epcot park pass. I had just never seen the button say "660 minute wait" or whatever the exact words were versus the normal 7am "join virtual queue"

Thank you for responding. What amount of time did you end up waiting? What boarding group did you get?

660 minutes equated to BG110. Got called around 2pm. We were in the biggest kept secret of F&W....the Apple something in Canada. The film area becomes a F&W venue. Great beers...an AMAZING tart...and other stuff...can't remember.

Am I breaking a code talking about this place?

About the Canada pavilion to a bunch of Americans? Nah, you’re safe. See, that’s the place you
-walk by on your way to the UK
or
-slam your first Round The World beer down
or
-pass out at the end of your Round The World tour

In all instances, basically nobody ever remembers it’s there.

Nah, it's ok. Cause, well, "great" beers, is VERY subjective opinion, LOL
We pass right on by intentionally. Great and beer has never been put together when talking about Canadian beer in our opinion, bless their hearts. Whisky maybe. Cheese Soup I'll give them. Beer, nope. Not for me

I can see them putting an estimating wait time on the button in a response to complaints that people wouldn't have bothered had they known how long the wait would be. Though I'm sure the time is off so not sure how much good it does when it's off. Other than they can say they gave you something
