change in refillable mug policy?

When i was there in May for MH at the beaches and cream there was a sign that said refill any resort mug for 89 cents. they were still selling the original bc/yc mug.

i know the waterparks had a special if you bought their mug for $17.99 you get it refilled for the day free and a free lunch & ice cream. if you brought back a waterpark mug from your last trip it was $11.99 and you get free refills and a free lunch with ice cream. you could even use bb at tl or tl at bb.

Not to get on one side of the fence or the other but in a lot of posts people have referred to the outstretch of abuses and cm's don't enforce or say anything. So what makes anyone think ANY policy will be enforced on this subject. Are those who are "more" honest concerned? Those who are dishonest don't care and never will.

Gee... Don't even remember what the Ts & Cs were on our WL mugs. I bought them in 2001... Were they life-time mugs??? How does one tell?

We usually fill up the fridge with drinks, so I don't bring them anymore... too lazy to schlep down to RF for a refill.

You know, I haven't read or posted here in over a month; we moved, we MH'ed, I was looking for work, we got busy (the dog ate my homework). Yet what did I see when I logged on tonight: refillable mugs. It's sad but also reassuring that, no matter how long someone is absent from the DIS boards, some threads will always be there when they get back.
