I just called to confirm our reservations. We are leaving this weekend and staying at the DLH. The person that I spoke with said that Disneyland resort guests only get 1 MM and the DLH will give us a voucher for just 1 MM. They said that resort guests no longer get MM each day that it is offered. What is up with this? Anybody been recently that can confirm this? One of the reasons that we booked the DLH was to take advantage of all of the MMs that were offered. :confused3

I would be interested in finding out if this is true as well! I have never heard of it.... When we stayed at the Grand we did not get a voucher for MM, just our room key card. That was one of the major reasons we booked at the Grand rather than the Hojo. At three times the price, there better be some good benefits :thumbsup2

I don't know ~ that's the BIG reason we stay on site. We just got back from 1 night at the Grand (Sat. night) Sun. morning we used our room key card(s) (we each had 1) to get in for MM. We did not have a voucher.

That seems kind of silly. Do they WANT to make money? For how expensive their hotels are, with a longer walk, and now the perks are going out the window...pretty soon no one will want to stay on-site!! How odd...

Yeah, I noticed on the online booking sites yesterday that the Disney resort hotel packages now only advertise 1 early entry. It seems strange to me, as I'd think the early access option would be a big incentive to stay at the pricier Disney hotels, without costing Disney all that much.

How interesting. I was at Paradise Pier last week and did not receive a voucher. I was only given my Key to the Magic card when I checked in. In fact, the cast member forgot to even tell me about Magic Morning.

That's very interesting. Why would they even do that? - it's not like they would save money not offering it. I understand if the recession is hitting them hard, they may need to cut back on perks that cost them money but there is no extra expense to them to give more MM's to guests. But this would certainly be a reason not to pay the extra for onsite when you get less now.

I just called the Grand and they informed me that this is not correct - you still do not get a voucher (just your room key card) and that you are able to use MM any day it is available during your stay. This was verified with a supervisor. I wonder if you are confused with the Morning Madness (Toon Town) where you do need a voucher?

That's terrible!!!! :( What a major bummer. We were planning on staying on site for the first time on our next trip. I wonder how much the change will effect the occupancy rates? And, hopefully this doesn't mean they are changing the 1 day MM with packages. Oh dear....

We are here now until saturday the 19th. When we checked in on sunday the 13th, our CM made sure to point out that EE/MM was available during our stay on tues, thurs, and saturday. So, this info does not appear to be correct.

No, I did ask about early entry/magic morning. Hopefully whoever I spoke with is wrong and we do get to utilize MM all the days that it is offered!

FWIW, it's always been an unadvertised thing; the websites (not even disneyland.com) have never mentioned the perk.

I wonder if Karebear managed to get routed to someone not actually physically in the hotel who just didn't know...the WDTC people don't always know, for instance.

I really hope this was just a horrible mistake. I know a previous poster called the GCH and verified it as false but it still makes me a little bit paranoid about my upcoming stay at the DLH.

We just visited Labor Day weekend and went in to every MM with our hotel key as access. I think all of the packages say they include the MM voucher ( I seem to recall seeing that when I booked too), but we were expressly told the days of MM and that we could go any time as long as we had our key.

I thought anyone who bought a 3 day or more park hopper was entitled to MM each day it was available during their visit?

This is our first time not staying onsite so I'd like to know. MM is 2 of the mornings we're there...

A normal (not convention, not military) 3+ day ticket has only one MM "on" it.

The only way to get more is to stay onsite; staying onsite gets you the extra MMs (any available during your stay), not your ticket in that case.

Unless what the OP was told is true, of course.

I asked about MM too when I had my AP rate adjusted last night for the Grand and was told the very same thing, that I was able to use MM (the CM actually said "enjoy MM" :D) any day of my stay.

I was worried about the same thing as I was told this too when booking my room with the WDTC. But when I called the hotel directly this morning, they confirmed that we would just use our room key for Magic Morning.

I would not worry at all unless someone returns from a trip and reports that they were unable to take advantage of this perk. As bumbershoot said, sometimes the people you talk to on the phone are not as "knowledged".

:goodvibes
