Chances of getting the loop I requested??

Back to the original poster's question. We have a pop-up and visit FW about once per year for a stay of approximately 12 nights. We ALWAYS request the 1500 loop. This is what we have found.

If you arrive during the week, you have a better chance of getting the 1500 loop. The reason being is that a lot of Florida residents come in for the weekend and they all want the 1500 loop. One year they even had sites reserved for a group of boyscouts and so those sites were not available for about 5 days as they held them open prior to the weekend.

A couple of years we arrived on a Saturday and were put in the 2000 loop for a nite and then we were able to move to the 1500 (this is how much we prefer the 1500 over the 2000).

We have now switched our arrival to SUNDAY and haven't had a problem getting on the 1500 on arrival day. We used to not have a problem when our arrival was on a Thursday either.

They do try to accomodate you, but they are working to keep various people happy who have various nights reserved ... quite a juggling act.

Usually every single site on 1500 is occupied Friday and Saturday nights ... but will then have a couple empty for the remaining 5 nights.

I hope this helps!

Just another tip for you ... if you get the 1500 loop and there is a line for the showers, take a stroll (not too far) over to the comfort station at the 1600 loop - it's usually not too busy as most people on that loop will have their own toliet/shower in their RV.

Wow, thanks for all of the great info! We will be checking in on a Sunday so I hope we get lucky! We will definitely walk to another loop for showers if they are too crowded. We don't mind walking at all, we enjoy it! That is one of the reasons we think we will like FW (walking around exploring and such!)

There are two partial hook up loops, 1500 and 2000 (I have a map on the bottom of my FW web site if you don't have one)

To the best of my knowledge:

1500 loop has 21 sites
2000 loop has 68 sites

So, in total there are about 89 partial hook up sites.
Thanks, I knew those two loops were partial, I just didn't know they were the ONLY ones! We will survive either way :)

600 was upgraded to preferred with cable last year, along with the 800 loop

Where did you get this information? We love the 600 loop and specifically asked for it when making our reservation a week ago for a full hookup site. I don't mind paying for preferred, but the CM seemed to think 600 was a full hookup loop, too.

While I agree that the 1500 loop is more popular than 2000 I wouldn't say that all the FL residents request it, I have requested 2000 loop because it is quieter and out of the way with larger sites and 2 CS.

And HEY, all of us FL residents can say that all those out of staters keep requesting our 1500 loop. :rotfl: :rotfl2: LOL, just kidding.
