Chamber pots

This fascinating item led me to search for more information. I didn't find much more on that specific pot, but I did find this beautiful one by Hagen-Renaker: http://hagenrenakerhorses.com/Webpagepixs/DisneyChamberPot2.jpg .

It is amazing how many different Disney collectibles there are out there. No matter how many I learn about, there are always more to discover.

I love Disney collectibles, but I'm pretty sure I would never want to collect a chamber pot.

Apparently, even more Disney chamber pots exist:

These chamber pots were created personally for Walt Disney by Metlox Pottery. Usually, the pot would have a child's name painted on it (which usually washed off over the years), and would then be given to staff members and friends who had new babies. We've seen the pots sell for $300 - $1500, depending upon condition. Walt's personal company, RETLAW, has released several of these chamber pots in recent years in near perfect condition; making their availability somewhat more common. The pots were produced in batches of 500, but the total number produced over the years is not known.

Wow, who knew?? I have my great-grandparents' chamber pot and love it (for decor). Don't know that I'd want to collect Disney ones. Those are cute though!
