Challenges calling to make a payment

Has anyone else experienced a challenge with the Disney VRU?

I've been trying to call to make a payment and the automated system doesn't seem to "hear" me when I say or enter a selection for why I am calling. I've tried two different phones so I don't think it is on my end. Seems weird doesn't it?
 
It happens sometimes, but usually if it doesn't understanding what you're saying it just puts you on hold until there is an available operator. Or at least that has been my experience. Hopefully you get through soon!
 
I guess I wasn't patient enough. After three or four rounds of it trying to repeat the same thing in a different way and me pressing buttons and carefully enunciating my response in the phone, I just hung up. I'll try back and see what happens.
 
You could also pay through your MDE in the browser. I couldn't find how to do it on the app, but it worked on the browser. It did take a few times for it to take my card number, but it worked eventually.

If you have a room only reservation you have no link for payment in the MDE.

I had to call to make payments over the phone for our room only and about half the time it understood me and I was put through to an automated system to pay. The other half it couldn't understand me and I was put on hold for the next available operator.
 
Yes, I also had issues this week with two different phone numbers, wouldn't recognize anything I said or punched in on the key pad. It's not you!
Was also told by my regional Disney rep that many were complaining about the website this week too, has been in and out all week. Hard to get anything priced or booked.
 
I'm glad you posted this. I called a few weeks ago to make a payment and had the same issue. It didn't occur to me that this might be a widespread problem, but now I know what to expect with future calls.
 
I ended up calling back and just waiting through the long sting of say this and press that. I was put on hold for a short time and then my call was answered and I was able to make my payment. I mentioned it to the cast member and she said that she hadn't heard that from other people, but she would pass it on. Interesting enough I didn't get the standard survey at the end of the interaction. Any way, I recommend sitting through the prompts if it happens to you and eventually someone will come on the line.
