Chaging for pop now????

Years ago it was only free in the dining rooms. Many people bought a mug that got you unlimited refills, or you could pay for it at the bars. That's standard for the cruising industry..

Years ago...boy you make me feel old.

We cruised on the Magic in 2004 and they still charged for soda then, so it was late 2004 or 2005 as I recall when they added soda to the Beverage station.

We just went on a 7 night Norwegian cruise to Hawaii in August and it was $52.50 a person for the drink card! For the 4 of us it would have been $210 for the week just for soda (and they made sure you only got one at a time). We passed on that and went with water, lemonade, or milk.

Disney may be a little more expensive for the cruise but I think it evens out when you look at the "extras" you get. Only 9 more days for us till FREE Disney soda :cool1:

Did you drink that much while you were there? It only works out if you are going to drink that much or more. I drink alot of diet coke, but even when I got the card I think I barely drank more than what it was worth. i swore it was only like 15 or 20 dollars, but it must've been more than that. :confused3

I believe it is free unless it comes in a can...

And since via room service, bars, and the snack bar area outside the movie theater and Walt Disney theater only give it to you in a can...you have to pay for it. :)

That's years. You sure? it was free for our cruise in Feburary 04 - unless I'm miscounting years and we took that cruise in 05, but I don't think so - we've been on a WDW in odd years and cruise in even years pattern.

We went soda free, I couldn't see us coming anywhere near $210 worth of soda. Now if it's free then thats different :)

When we went on the Wonder July 2004 it had been added to the beverage station. I think that was a fairly new item.

When we cruised on the Magic in October, 2003 soda was already free. I remember that it was our 2003 cruise because we cruised with friends and they were very excited that they didn't have to pay for the soda package.

When I was a kid we moved from Cincinnati to Rhode Island and I remember asking for a hoagy at a local sandwich shop, they looked at me like I was crazy!! Only grinders in R.I.
