Central Florida Amber Alert!! FOUND!!!

Oh, thank god he was found unharmed. I hope they can catch the abductor.

I'm so happy they found him alive and seemingly unharmed. I hope they can still track down whoever abducted him.

Oh thank God.

I can't believe that we have to worry about our kids being taken right off the street in daylight.

They said he was crying as he was being taken. I just started crying when I heard that.:sad1:

We have got to teach our kids to fight back and not let themselves be taken to a second location.

I swear to God that I would have GPS chips put in my kids if I could.

I have preached this to my daughter for years (she's 19 now). The odds are very strongly against things turning out okay once you're moved from the original crime site. Thank goodness that wasn't the case this time.

Thank god he is physically okay. I can't even imagine what he is like emotionally.

I think I'm going to teach my child to NOT go with strangers no matter what. If they have a gun, run! I think the chances of them using the gun are not great, and if they do, well, I don't know but I think if the child is snatched, that is usually the end anyway. This kid was very lucky.

Other opinions?

I'm 38. My mom always told us from the time we were little kids, if someone tried to abduct us, get us in a car, whatever: yell, kick, scream, bite, do whatever we had to do. She also said that if they had a gun, RUN and if we still got shot, the chances of it being fatal were not good. She also told us that even if we were killed on the spot, it would be a much better death than being kidnapped and tortured before we were finally killed.

Yes, it scared the HELL out of me as a kid to hear this kind of stuff. BUT, my mother is right. MOST people are not "sure shots" and probably couldn't fatally hit you if you are running away. AND she's also right that being killed on the spot would be much better than being separated from your family, tortured, whatever.

Thank you. I agree with that.
