Celebrity Rehab/Sober House... UPDATE I saw Steven Adler last night!!!

For anyone that watches the show - I went to Steven Adler's concert last night - OMG it was incredible! He put on an awesome show, and he had that lovely smile of his the entire night. He sang along while he drummed & genuinely looked like he was having a great time doing what he loves to do. We were front row so he was literally a foot away from us when he came out from behind his set, and we all agreed he did NOT look high. Now of course he could have been on anything, but he definitely didn't look the way he did on the show when he was using. He looked bright & happy & healthy.

I'm bummed that this week's show is the season finale!

Aw that's so cool!! Did you get any pictures?!

I'm sad it's the finale too!

I have pics but they're not very clear, I couldn't figure out the right setting on my camera with the stage lights & the fake smoke they pump in! A friend with me used a professional 35mm camera but hasn't emailed me the pics yet...but for now I'll post a few of mine....let me go upload to photobucket...

Sorry they're blurry (and my red eye reduction wasn't on) - but you can see his sweet smile anyway!

This one is the smile that melts my heart!

That's so great to hear! He's actually one of the main reasons I got all sucked into Celebrity Rehab/Sober House in the first place (well, apart from my deep and abiding lust--er, I mean respect for Dr. Drew

), and every time he relapsed I was really saddened. He just seems like such a fundamentally sweet man; he almost forces you to root for him! It's awesome to hear he was out and about and having fun doing what he loves to do. :goodvibes

Where was the concert? I couldn't tell by the pictures.

I didn't know tonight was the season finale! I got hooked on the show when I had knee surgery (kind of funny to get hooked on it when I was on pain killers myself! LOL! I don't need them now, thankfully my knee is doing much better). Since I'm an ER fan, I'll have to DVR it and watch it later.

I did miss some of the episodes so thank you for posting the spoilers because I was able to catch up!

Crocodile Rock on Hamilton. I felt so bad, there was NO ONE there, maybe 60-70 people. I felt like buying tickets & handing them out on the street just to get more bodies inside! They didn't seem to care though, they played their hearts out & Steven was so appreciative of the crowd & his band, he kept thanking everyone & saying he loved everyone for helping him get where he is today. He's playing in Harrisburg tonight, if I wasn't busy I'd be tempted to make the drive out there to see him again.

The only thing that seems odd is his obsession with GnR. I've seen him talk about Slash endlessly on the show, in interviews, etc. He's been gone from GnR since 1991 but I still think he has a fantasy that he will get back in the band. It's been publicized that he routinely asks Axl to let him back in. He even signs his autograph "Steven Adler GNR." I think he needs to let it go & move on. His band only played GnR cover - but they were awesome. I had listened to a few of his concerts on youtube & I wasn't impressed - but they did a phenomenal job on Tuesday. The lead singer (Tarsha) is wiry & skinny like Axl & has a very similar voice - actually I liked them playing GnR better than GnR!

I figured it was Croc Rock, but I wasn't 100% sure. I was only there once YEARS ago. That's ashame that not too many people were there. Glad you enjoyed the concert though! :)

So did anone watch the season finale last night?

They didn't even show what Nikki & Mary were planning on doing! The only one I felt good about was Rodney. Andy Dick bawled the whole night, Amber is just lost without the drugs & her mom, Seth had one good night at his show but I see him relapsing right away, and Steven, oh man my Steven....I was so disappointed. He is so angry when he's using - I was shocked when he said he was divorcing Carolina for nagging him. I have never heard him talk badly about her. And lying that he wasn't smoking pot - did he think the drug test would really come back negative? He's like Jekyl & Hyde - he seems so caring & sweet when he's sober, angry & mean when he's using. He was genuine & sweet the other night. I can't say he wasn't on anything but he sure was acting "normal." Maybe he gave up the heroin for something else.

I think it's on again at 11am today & I'm sure they'll re-run it all weekend. I'd love to see a "Where are they now" show in the future!

I fell asleep and missed the last 10 minutes last night. I will watch the whole thing again today.

I was shocked when I saw Rooney's house. WOW, and he was living there? I wondered why his girlfriend didn't do something to clean it up while he was gone. I just assumed she lived there too or maybe I am wrong about that. If she wasn't living there I don't blame her for leaving the mess, but if she was living there too, why did she leave it like that for all of those months he was gone.

Amber was so lost. I really don't see her making it without help. She did so well with all the structure, but on her own, I just don't see her making it.

Steven, Steven, Steven. I was rooting for you until the end. All of the help and support you have that you just throw away. I guess I never really understood how bad and tragic addiction was until I have seen what he goes through.

I really think if Amber and Mary had all the support that Steven has, they could both make it, but if they are left on their own, I just really don't see either of them being able to do it. I am just amazed how he can just throw away the people that are his biggest supporters. He can lie to them and treat them badly and they are still there for him.

I don't know what to think about Andy Dick. I couldn't get over the fact that he was there more as a career move than to actually get help.

Same here - total career move - but he did seem geniune. I hate to admit it but he started to grow on me. Ugh.

I see Steven as a scared little kid - the 11-year old he was when his mother put his belongings on the street & kicked him out for being "bad." He turned to heroin shortly thereafter, so really he doesn't know how to live any other way. Not that that's any excuse for his bad behavior, but I think that what his mother did scarred him for life & he's terrified to be sober. Did you see the episode with his mom - OMG she needs to be slapped. "Well Steven was a bad boy what else was I supposed to do but kick him out to live on the street? I couldn't control him. " Even Dr. Drew was like *** lady - he was ELEVEN!!! He's now 44 - that's almost 33 years addicted to drugs - his body would probably shut down without them, sad to say. All I can say is that on Tuesday night he looked happy. Let's just hope he can now find his niche, play with his band & stay alive.
