I was just reading the Idol thread, where Ellen DeGeneres was discussed. I just do not get how or why this woman is such a big celebrity. I find her and her show boring. I don't think she's funny, and I can't imagine what she'll contribute to the Idol show except more snores.
Another one who I've mentioned multiple times here is Al Roker. I don't find the man's looks, personality or voice the least bit appealing.
Philip Michael Seymour gives me heebie-jeebies, even before I saw "Doubt."
Jack Black. No other words necessary.
Richard Gere is another one whose success mystifies me. I don't think he's that good-looking and he comes across as a stiff.
Chloe Sevigny is probably washed-up at this point, but when she was all over the gossip pages, I was scratching my head as to why anybody would find her "hot."
Renee Zellweger is outright ugly IMO. She's cross-eyed with chipmunk cheeks and way too skinny. When she's in a movie where they try to make her some femme fatale, it loses all credibility with me.
So who do you see on TV or in the gossip pages, and say WTH? How did that person become a star?
