Celebrities on board?

Joey Fatone (who I see every now and then at the Chilies Restaurant in Lake Buena Vista) was on my Dream Cast Preview Cruise last year. He was a nice even held the door for me going to Cabana's outdoor seating area.

Adam Vinatieri, placekicker for the Indianapolis Colts and formerly the New England Patriots was on one of our cruises with his family.

Stefanie Scott, who plays Lexi on Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm, was on our October 2011 Mexican Riviera cruise. She took a photo with my daughter and was very sweet.

Goodness! So the moral of the story is, Joey Fatone cruises a lot! ;)

This cracked me up because I was thinking the same thing!

He lives in Orlando, doesn't he? :confused3

My brother used to be a manager at a movie theater in Orlando and said he came in a lot. The first time he apparently didn't recognize him at the concession stand and all his employees gave him flack after he left.

Neat thread, I've enjoyed reading!

Loving the thread! Apparently Joey Fatone has a thing for Disney he is seen at WDW alot too!

Hope to see a celebrity on our Sept cruise.. If its a athlete I wont recognise it tho..LOL

Adam lives down the street from a good friend of mine. Such a nice guy! Hope you had a pleasant experience with him.

I always wonder about people I know personally, and how they act in "public". :rotfl:

I saw a 5 ft tall rodent strutting around like he owns the place on my last cruise. Was that a celebrity??

Jamie Dean (Paula Dean's son) was on the first 3 day Dream cruise last February. My wife is a HUGE Food Network fan and spotted him right away. We saw him several times but didn't want to bother him!

Carlos Delgado was on the Dream June 7-12, 2011. He played baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Carlos played first for the New York Mets too

We cruised on the Wonder with Aaron Carter and his family (including Nick). Aaron gave performances (with Nick once) and we "accidentially" met Aaron's girlfriend at the time on the waterslides at Atlantis, Lindsey Lohan.

Aaron was a snot, but Nick was nice. Signed my daughters comic book that he created with Stan Lee.

On OUR cruise, we had the Mouses: Mickey AND Minnie both! I have autographs and pictures to prove it. They are so sweet - great huggers - but, not very talkative.

:goodvibes

Best post on this thread!!!

Apparently, Ty Treadway and his family were on our last cruise and swimming in the water at CC right near us...but we didn't notice because they looked like any other family. One of our friends got a picture and told us. We also had a Saudi Arabian princess on the cruise....but on a Disney Cruise....everyone's a princess - so nobody really noticed :rotfl2:

We have run into a few on the ship, don't pay much attention in the parks but my boss spots celebrties there all the time

Disney channel celebrities
Ally and AJ, Frankie Jonas, Debby Ryan, Chelsea Kane, Kyle Massey

Author Ridley Pearson (kingdom keepers)

Whoopie Goldberg, Samantha Brown, John Stamos, Sam Champion (Good morning America), Jodi Benson (voice of little mermaid) Jennifer Hudson, Jennie Garth, husband Peter Facinelli and their three girls

Some of the dancers from Dancing with the stars, I don't watch the show so not familiar with them but a friend pointed them out

That is all I can remember right now

During our March 2007 cruise my DW and I ran into Tom Bergeron from AFV and Dancing with the Stars...I remember him growing up on Boston television. Very nice guy. Still has ties to the NEw England area.

I was on the Wonder and played bingo with Ricky Lake.

Side note, I rode Tower of Terror with Michael Jackson!
Whoa.
That's one time I'd have bought the TOT picture afterwards.. LOL

How do people recognize these celebrities? Do they announce it? Or do you just see them?

They walk by you and you sort of have that, "Hey! I know that person! That's umm... who is that? Why do I know, OH! That's _______!" (That's how it was for me when I saw Nicholas Cage at DL.)

Or, you see a bunch of other people looking at them and you either notice them or have no clue and say, "Who's that?" (That's how it was when I saw a whole bunch of pre-teens surrounding some young teen girl that I still have no clue who she is.)

If they are just guests on the ship (like you), DCL will not announce them as they are enjoying their vacation and are not there to perform. :goodvibes

You just see them and if it is someone you are very familiar with you recognize them. I am sure there have been others that I had no clue who they were so didn't know they were celebrities. For example on our cruise last summer my daughter came and told me she saw Peter Facinelli and I was like who is that? She explained he is in the Twilight movies and pointed him out at the pool. I didn't know him and could have been standing next to him the entire cruise and would have never know. On the other hand I recognized his wife Jennie Garth right away. They were on the ship as a family on vacation but we saw them all over the ship, at the pool, bingo, karaoke, etc

We were lucky enough to meet Donny Osmond on the Dream cruise Aug. 12-16th. We were able to take a photo with him and get his autograph. He really is a nice guy, he took the time to autograph and take photos with everyone that was at the signing, even when the DCL cast member was trying to rush the guest waiting to meet him. He was so sweet and when we came home and told my Mom we met him, she was so happy for us, she's been telling all our family and friends we cruised and met him on the Dream.

I was there too!!! I waited to meet him and get a picture and the whole time my DD was "who is this guy?" I told her he sang a song in Mulan and then she perked up.

He was great. Funny thing was I passed him on CC and did not recognize him. I did not know he was on board, when I saw him i said to my DH he looks like someone I knew when i was younger! hahaha i wish i knew him.
