Celebrities on board?

I saw a 5 ft tall rodent strutting around like he owns the place on my last cruise. Was that a celebrity??

YUP!! and he does own the place!! and several castles and 3 other ships. A very famous rich rodent. YOu should have offered him some cheese!:rotfl:

Oh my gosh, now you have me wondering if I'll see anyone on our March 9th cruise!!:woohoo:

My problem is, I never seem to recognise anyone! And if I do think they look familiar, I think I'm wrong!:cool2:

About 6 years ago I went to Vegas for a girls weekend. I noticed this guy at the entrance to the Wynn, and I just knew he was someone:goodvibes....only thing was I didn't know WHO!:confused3

It bothered me for the rest of the weekend, we made eye contact and he smiled at us, but I didn't dare go up and say,"Look I know your in a musical group, who are you?" That would have been a wee bit embarrassing for all of us!!

When I got home, one of the first things I did was start "googling" music bands etc......:surfweb:

It was the lead singer to Rascal Flatts!!!!:woohoo::yay::dance3::banana::cool1::rotfl:

On our Dec. Dream cruise, Toni Dovolani from DWTS was there and had salsa dance lessons on the day at sea.

Funny story -- not on a Disney ship, but on our first visit to Planet Hollywood in NYC in 1992. We were walking around after dinner looking at all the movie props. We stopped in front of one table to look at props on the wall behind them and I felt this glaring pair of eyes. I looked down and knew immediately who it was -- Griffin O'Neal (Ryan O'Neal's first son -- you know, the one whose teeth he knocked out a few years ago ;)). He was sitting there between two girls with his arms around them staring at us like "what do you want". I just winked at him and said "don't worry, you don't hold any interest for us", and walked away. Now if it was his father, that would have been a different story :lmao:

Anyway, the next day it was in the newspapers that he beat up one of the girls that night and got arrested! :sad2:

If I saw Toni Dovolani on our cruise I would die! I would be a stalker!! LOL, I would be a "harmless" stalker.....He's my favorite dancer on DWTS!

We were on the Slash cruise. Even rode on the shuttle with him at Costa Maya. We kept wondering who the heck he thought he was, and then he was in Palo the night we were there, and our waiter told us exactly who he thought he was!

Funniest part, our neighbor is a HUGE Slash fan, and I don't think he ever really believed us. One Christmas he comes running over. He got the Slash autobiography as a gift, and in there is a picture of Slash and his family on the Disney cruise! Now he believes us. :thumbsup2

5' seems a little tall, but the rest certainly applies to Rizzo the Rat (perhaps you've seen the Muppetvision preshow)

:rolleyes1

Has anyone seen any Disney stars (or other stars) on board DCL? I know from time to time there are Disney stars like Selena Gomez, but this is a rare thing from what I can tell. If so, did they perform or host an event or show, or were they just guests?

I saw that Taylor Swift performed on a Royal Caribbean cruise a while back.

Of course, I often have seen the biggest stars of all, Mickey and Minnie, et al.

I see Mickey Mouse every cruise:rotfl2::rotfl2:

There have been a lot of celebs on DCL ships. At the "old" Castaway reception, there was a film of some of them--Raven Simone, President Carter and family, etc.

Celebs I have seen on the ship--Jodi Benson, Roy Disney, Susan Egan (Belle on Broadway), Joey Fatone, Charo, dude who was Gaston on Broadway, etc. Some are cruising as guests, some are there to do shows as well as to enjoy their time on the ship. We saw Charo boarding at GS with her 43 (no kidding) pieces of luggage. She looked like a little girl.

I was on a cruise a few years ago and saw Lance Bass from NSYNC when they were still popular!

Last April we saw Tony Dungy and his family on the Dream. We first saw him at the lifeboat drill. My 10 year old and I both looked at each other and said at the same time "that guy looks like Tony Dungy"

We saw him around the ship a lot, people mostly left him alone but I did see him shaking hands with a couple of guys who just couldn't resist!!!

On our first family cruise in 2006, our DCL shuttle driver said there "might" be a celebrity on the cruise. We didn't think about it too much. DH and DD (7 at the time) were walking around the ship when DD says "Daddy- look at that man! He has the same earrings as his wife!" DH looked up to see Slash from Guns & Roses! :cool2: DH decided not to say anything since Slash was with his family. You just never know who you'll see on a Disney cruise!!

OH man.....I am so jealous. That would be an amazing surprise for our family :)

On our July dream cruise last year Catherine Bell was on the cruise. Spoke with her when her family and mine were both trying to figure out how to go through security in the Bahamas, but that's about it. I'm not really big on "omg there is a celebrity on board lets freak out so everyone now knows and rushes them for an autograph"
People need to remember that "celebrities" are on vacation with there families as well and want to be let alone.

On the 5/25 Fantasy Western we bumped into a semi-celeb. Sorta. LOL! We were in line to do a pic on the staircase on formal night. Hubby had been hitting the drinky-drinks a bit that afternoon/evening. He kept looking over my shoulder at the fellow w/his family behind me and quietly saying, "That guy looks so familiar to me", or, "I know that guy from somewhere." I kept replying with, "You don't know him. You've been drinking. Don't say anything to him." About 15 to 20 mins of this and he couldn't stand it. He HAD to say something. But understand, my hubby is super-friendly. Even his grandmother used to tell me he's never met a stranger. Still, I wanted to die. My husband really friendly-like said hello, said he looked so familiar, then asked where the guy was from. Arizona. Nope. We've never been to Arizona. Then the man said, "Well, originally I'm from New Jersey" ((I think he said)) but then he said, "You may recognize me from television. I'm on a show you may have seen. Property Wars." YEAH! That's it! I watch all those real estate shows! Love love looooove them! So, we met Scott from Property Wars. Very nice man, adorable son, and gorgeous wife. We chit chatted only a few minutes then we politely left them alone. I did get a pic, tho. I know, ultra-tacky but he was very gracious as was his family. I asked Scott's wife what it must be like to see her husband on television. She said it was very odd, like home movies but on TV! LOL!

We were also on the 5/25 Western Fantasy sailing. In Costa Maya, my husband & kids did the dolphin swim. While I was watching I heard a voice so distinct, yet somehow familiar, I look around and there was Scott Menaged from Property Wars (same guy PP met). I waited until my husband was out of the water and we were at the lockers drying off and was telling him who I saw and right behind us, at the next locker was Scott. I whisper this info to my husband and he turns right around and says, "hey how are you doing?" We swapped quick pleasantries and that we left them alone.

Later during the cruise, my son and I were doing homework on the deck, and he sits behind us with his son....at which point my son can no longer concentrate because in his words, "I am this close (holding up fingers) to a movie star" LOL we left them alone. Besides bumping into Ed Koch years ago at the Jersey shore, this is the closest I've ever come to a celebrity :cool1:

We were on the Wonder with Disney Stars in 2009. Corbin Bleu and Tiffany Thornton were the two I had heard of. There were a few others, but I didn't recognize them.

Very crowded meet/greet:

After a day at Castaway Cay; the smiling girl had just got his autograph.
