Celebrities on board?

On the inaugural Magic in '98, we had Eddie Murphy and family and Danny Bonaduce (Partridge Family) and family. Not super-exciting though ;)

Man... I certinaly dont remember that!

We were on the Maiden of the Magic.
We've had lunch with Tyler Perry and Joey Fatone...not at the same time tho:rotfl: We also took the tram ride back to the ship on CC with this very nice couple from NY... chatted about how fun the WBTA(2010) has been... turned out she played Mrs. Potts on Broadway. Dont remember her name:rotfl2:

You may have been talking to Beth Fowler.

About 3 years ago I was sitting in the Walt disney Theater and my husband- who was 2 seats away from me (kids in the middle) had this funny look on his face. I was chatting with this couple sitting next to me and then the show began. After we left the theater, my husband said, "you have no idea who you were talking to, do you?" Nope, I didn't. Apparently, it was Kevin Milwood- a professional baseball player.

Sorry, big YANKEE FAN......but with free agency, I can't keep track of every player anymore. The players change teams as often as I change my......socks!

DH and I sat next to Art Linkletter and his wife at Palo. He was there as a special guest for a DVC member cruise.

We had Shawn Bradley -- former NBA player and his family on our cruise in July. DS13 got his picture taken with him.

Tom Coughlin the coach for the Giants was on the same cruise with his family.

On our first family cruise in 2006, our DCL shuttle driver said there "might" be a celebrity on the cruise. We didn't think about it too much. DH and DD (7 at the time) were walking around the ship when DD says "Daddy- look at that man! He has the same earrings as his wife!" DH looked up to see Slash from Guns & Roses! :cool2: DH decided not to say anything since Slash was with his family. You just never know who you'll see on a Disney cruise!!

Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown were cruising with us a few years back on DCL...they did karaoke every night - sure kicked it up a notch or two from the usual!!

:thumbsup2

.

Oh my gosh! Love Donny Osmond!! Always have. Saw Joseph And the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat three times just to see him .

We've had Slash from Guns n Roses on our cruise sailing with his family.

We were on that cruise, too. DH and I had no idea who he was, DSs had to tell us. LOL

We had Lee Unkrich - Director of Toy Story 3 on our cruise in March. He was on the cruise with his family and did 2 great presentations on the Making of TS3. He also had an autograph session where you were able to have your picture taken holding his Oscar - that thing is heavy!

To me professional athletes are a dime a dozen because so many of them live out where we are and retire out here. My 10yo was in class with an retired Houston Rocket son (that boy is TALL!) and our former neighbor has 3 super bowl rings. Another neighbor is a professional golfer.

One of my daughter's best friends has a father who is a rather popular recording artist .

Dime a dozen ... they are just PTA parents to me (who need to get their volunteer hours up IYKWIM)

Now if you want to talk about how this plays out with our local high school teams, we have some VERY competitive kids/parents/youth sports/select sports.

On our first cruise in 1999 we had the guy who plays Al Borlin on Home Improvement, I forget his name. We saw he at serenty bay. On our Med Cruise in 2007 we had Joey Fatone and his partner Kim from DWS.
On the 2005 Panama Canal Cruise they had entertainers coming and going. The group Boys2Men we two cabins down from us on deck 7. Also on that cruise was Jason Surwell who has written quite a few Disney books and was an imagineer. He was great.

I saw him on that cruise as well. I actually walked past him in the hall and my dad told me he walked by( that was the summer, I was into older bands mor and Guns & Roses was on of them). Later in the cruise I almost ran into him going up the stairs when he was coming down.

Very interesting reading this thread, as I've often wondered if celebs managed to go on cruises without incident. I'm usually not done in by seeing them (grew up in NYC and London and ran into just about everyone on the streets) but I saw someone on our Magic cruise just after Christmas last year and I was stopped dead in my tracks.

Sitting at one of the tables in Lumieres, right in the window, was an elderly, portly gent with a bright red shirt, suspenders, and flowing white hair and beard. His eyes twinkled. I was convinced it was Santa Claus!

Saw him throughout the cruise and he always wore red. He would stop to talk to children and chuckle merrily. I kept telling my husband that he was the REAL Santa Claus but of course he didn't believe me.....until he observed him over the course of a few days and was also convinced it was him.

It was, after all, after Christmas and he looked like he was taking a well-deserved break!

Albert Pujols of the St Louis Cardinals was on our ship on our Dec. 08 cruise with his family. He stayed down the hall from our room. He rode on the same flight from St Louis as our flight and back home on the same flight. He said Hello to my husband who ironically was wearing his Albert Pujols shirt. :lmao:We didn't bother him for photos or anything because I felt it would have been rude. He needs a vacation with his family too. :goodvibes
